The lodge is perfect for a few days on the wildlife estate, safe and quiet and you can do your own game drives around the area. The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Tammy was a fantastic host and helped us throughout our stay. She sorted the shower straight away when it was blocked due to a frog setting up camp and also kept us updated with Corona information.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

A true South African bush experience with its very own rustic charm to it. Greatly located on the river so many sightings are guaranteed, we even had a hyena very close-by while doing our evening braai. The only small suggestion I would have is to maybe add AC as it can get very hot in the rooms. Special thumbs up for Treasure who is a really charming lady who makes sure everything is alright in case Tammy is not available.

The place is peaceful and close to the swimming pool that has a lovely view into the dry river.
The rooms are spacious and we had a very enjoyable stay.
The Njalas, Porkipine and Impalas gave our 2 year old granddaughter a lovely experience coming close to the property.

In short, this is not an unforeseen accident, this is from a long time!

Lots of overdue maintenance; the kitchen is falling apart; the deck of the outside shower has holes and splinters and a door is next to the rebate; the terrace around the normal-sized swimming pool has protruding nails and sagging here and there; the pool has green algae deposits on the walls under water; in every room at least 1 lamp does not work, Lampshades with uncountable number of dead insects, etc.

The friendly host is in the denial phase by not having seen it when she did the check it the day before, but has already ordered all repair parts????

But apparently many guests accept this and give high rates which is incomprehensible to us!
We would stay 2 nights, but have arranged accommodation elsewhere for the 2nd night.

Unfortunately we can't enclose the pictures to show the actual state of the venue.

Leadwood 695 is beautiful bush escape although we had a bit of an unpleasant stay.

On arrival the host Tammy welcomed us and showed us our unit .

She then told us the kitchen light wasn’t working, she took a side lamp / desk lamp and put it for us in the kitchen.

The WiFi wasn’t working and there absolutely no signal in the unit we were given.
This was such a terrible experience as I couldn’t do some of my urgent work at given points.

I asked about a pool I was told that it is for private use . I can go swim at specific times, that didn’t sit well with me at all. Next to our unit seems to be a new pool that is being done hope that finishes quickly as it will be good for guests.

There was no housekeeping for our stay , in all my traveling history there’s always been house keeping so this was a first , fortunately my boyfriend washed dishes

We ran out of toilet paper and the time we asked for it Tammy was not in, she then brought very late in the night, this was one of the huge inconveniences.

There should be parking designated for guests, when we got there we were shown our parking of which there was a boat next to it, the following day when we drove the parking we were given was taken. It rained so much at night and and our car was not covered, we couldn’t help to think what if there was a hail storm or any storm...

Loved the braai area
Tammy is a friendly host
The scenery is be beautiful
Real bush escape

I wish I could say my stay was beautiful but I’m struggling however thank you Tammy for all the efforts!!!

The place house is OK. But I think their house keeper is not doing a good job. I had to pull the bed and there were spider webs under the beds I actually cleaned the place before we slept the sleeping couch bedding was looking dirty utensils was full of dust. Cocroches in the kitchen the kitchen light was not functioning. The owner was welcoming. Is just small things that needs to be changed to be OK..

We had a superb stay at Leadwood Safari Lodge.
Tammy was a fantastic host, the lodge we stayed in was clean, comfortable and I would highly recommend Leadwood Safari Lodge. The location is great and being in the Wildlife Estate is a wonderful treat too.

A few days of absolute tranquility in perfect surroundings. Thank u Tammy de Vos for making our stay so memorable and a special thanks to Thembi for her kindness and helpfulness. It’s a five minute drive into town which is always a positive not being too far from the shops. I loved being able to wonder outdoors and to see the wild animals on your doorstep.

Tammy, the landowner, has received me warmly. She brought me the full continental breakfast. She gives good recommendations to visit places around Hoedspruit. There are several places to visit, besides the Kruger park, to stay during several days. I stayed during 4 days. The lodge is inside a wildlife real estate. It is nice during jogging to be able to see warthogs, antelopes, zebras, horn bill birds.

Large and comfortable one-bedroom chalet among the wild vegetation where giraffes, zebras, warthogs, etc roam freely. We enjoyed our stay a lot, just wish we had A/C in the bedroom. Owners very attentive to our comfort, good TV lineup and WiFi. we just wished we had a bit more of a view. Convenient location, but can be a bit hard to find initially.
