A bucket list stay for us, and it ticked all the boxes, the units are spotlessly clean, the staff are amazing, the food was great, was super hot when we were there but the staff turndown service (silent ninja’s) always out our aircon on for comfort.

Having your own splash pool to cool off in and the air conditioning must have been a relief against the high temperatures. Beautiful scenery , great stuff, great atmosphere, a true connect with nature. It took me back to my roots , the unpolluted air was to die for . i could live there. My hubby enjoyed his present , he wanted to extend the days , we are soon to visit again. Plus we really enjoyed the food miss Conny cooked and Kieth somewhat weird humor

Staying at this Lodge in itself is an experience, everything was impeccable, starting with the excellent structure of the Lodge, with modern, clean rooms and even more beautiful than in the photos, room cleaning was carried out twice in one day. The team provided excellent service, Piet always helping us and checking that everything was ok, the delicious meals prepared with dedication by Constance. Sharmeynie is a sweet person, friendly and helpful, trying to make everything perfect. Keith was our guide during the Games drives that were held in the early morning and late afternoon, without a doubt the best guide we could have, with many years of experience in the reserve, he shared his wisdom with us during all the tours. We are grateful for making our trip unforgettable!

This place is amazing second time back with all the family. Sharmaine and Keith really show their passion and love for their safari guests. Safari daily drives just full on fun thank you Keith for making it enjoyable. Sharmaine and the staff too for lovely daily meals and snacks and sweet touches. Thank you too for all the requests for family couple who were having their anniversary year!, they loved the sincere gifts and attention to detail. We will defo be back to a truly magical safari game lodge 🙏

A bush experience like no other, Raptor retreat is such a gem, the location is perfect it comes with peace, tranquility. From the beautiful rooms to the kind staff. I enjoyed my stay. the experience can not be compared.

We had an exceptional safari experience and wished our stay was longer. The tented accommodation we choose was heaven loved everything about it. i.e. the bed, stand alone tub, outside patio pool and the beautiful animals that constantly surrounded our room and the lodge. the staff members were helpful and prepared great meals for everyone. Sharmaine and Keith are great hosts, who made sure that our stay was memorable, loved the valuable chats we had with them i.e. the love they have for nature and animals, but most importantly 'the need to create awareness around preservation and sustenance resonated with us. The lodge gave us all sorts of tranquility, peace, belonging hence we wished to stay longer.....

My wife and I love staying at Raptor Retreat. This was our 5th visit and it has become a requirement for every trip to South Africa. Great atmosphere, hosts, staff and accommodation. On a par with much more expensive lodges and small enough that you feel like you have the bush to yourself.

Food was good home cooking. Very accommodating with gluten intolerance. Accommodation was excellent. Staff & Management were friendly and helpful. Game drives were available on the lodges vehicle, however we would have preferred to do self drive game viewing.

Thank you so much for sending us your feedback, it is always appreciated and helps us to ensure we are on top of guest expectations. We understand your concern about the self-drives but nfortunately on the reserve it is not allowed due to the nature of our roads, privacy of other lodges and landowners as well as your safety. Our guests can however leave the reserve and enter at the Phalaborwa Gate - 45km's from us for a self drive experience. we dohowever have excellent 'couch-safari' from the main lodge and units, as animals roam freely through the lodge. For the more enthusiastic we also offer quad bike safari with a guide to experience a safari on a whole new level. We would love to welcome you back again.

We have been going to Raptor Retreat for many years and it is without fail always a dream holiday. Keith and Sharmaine are fantastic hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble!! The staff are all very friendly, helpful and willing to assist with anything you need. A special shout-out to Constance for the sublime food!! We always start planning our next visit as soon as we get home as we simply can’t wait to get back there 😉. We can’t recommend Raptor Retreat highly enough!!!
