We loved our stay at Swadini. The fascilities were clean and beautifully looked after. Nature was all around us and one of my favourite sightings were the Kudu who roamed around the grounds grazing quietly. They weren't even afraid of humans which made it such a special experience. The service was excellent. When we phoned for something we needed, it was delivered within the next 5 minutes. Richard, who has been there for 15 years was brilliant and very informative about Swadini and how it began. The swimming pools were in pristine condition and I loved the fact that you could swim whenever you wanted and that there was a heated pool available. The put-put course was also in very good condition too and our family of five had lots of fun playing at night. The grounds were well lit at night and coming from Joberg, we felt very safe and secure. My kids could walk to the shop and back at night and felt quite safe. The tennis courts were in a good condition and we loved the huge lights which meant we could play tennis happily at night. Swadini is still close enough to the Kruger Park and we spent an amazing day there too. All in all, it was a wonderful experience in one of the of the most beautiful parts of South Africa. We cannot wait to come back again next year!

Clean resort, went camping for the long weekend. Facilities were cleaned regularly, and stayed clean even with a fully booked campsite. Braai's were cleaned daily and assistance was provided for dishes and setting up camp. Entertainment for the kids by the swimming pool were great! Enjoyed our stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Swadini in 6 bed chalet. Place was neat and tidy and everything that you need to have a pleasant stay were available. From the original booking at Swadini to booking in and booking out was done in a very friendly, efficient and professional way. The location is exceptional with the mountains towering over you and all the small antelope wandering between the chalets .

We had a wonderful stay at Swadini. The rooms were neat and clean. The oven was unfortunately out of order, but other than that the chalet was equiped with everything we could need. The entertainment program for the children was great. The location was nothing less than breathtaking with the surrounding mountains and wild life. We also enjoyed being able to access the Swadini nature reserve at no extra cost. We also visited the Echo caves on a rainy day which is about an hour's drive from Swadini - it was an incredible experience and well worth the drive. The cleaning services was very good. We were a bit shocked at the pricing of the local shop - we had to drive to Hoedspruit to purchase food and supplies, since it would have cost a fortune to purchase any food or toiletries in the resort shop. Overall it was such a lovely stay for our family.

The Baboons break tents if they can smell the food. They open coolboxes. Make sure you throw your food away in dustbins which are locked - not the ones which can be opened. We love Swadini Campsite and hope the baboons will be managed as it will be sad if people stop visiting because of them. It is our favourite family camping destination. The shop is never stocked well. The Manager Nols is also not very professional and did not handle our complaint well at all. He made no effort to apologise or acknowledge his faults. The duty manager Richard however was very professional. I hope to visit again soon, hoping that the baboon sitation is better.

My husband and myself spent three months at Swadini using a well priced pensioner tariff. Amazing bushveld scenery and majestic mountains and rivers. Accessible to Hoedspruit quaint village/town and airport, Orpen gate KNP 70 kilometers. A must see experience. Amazing walking trails, rivers, mountains animals roaming freely, naughty monkeys and baboon sometimes. Frequently see hippos splashing in the deeper pools. The ablutions plentiful and well maintained. Chalets,rentable funished tents available or the option of bringing your own caravan/tents.It is my observation that there are many categories of people frequenting this resort, nature concervation students, school children, cyclists, younger families, older folk, overseas traveller'setc A Very popular resort. Two hugh swimming pools hot and cold, putt-putt, chess, pool table, decent restaurant and well stocked shop on the premises. Friendly, helpful and professional staff at all hours. Generally easy to mingle with the cherished friends you make. An astonishing, breathtaking experience.

We were very impressed with Swadini resort. The camping site is well maintained with lots of shade; the ablutions are kept clean all the time. We had fabulous camping with our family! Lots of activities available for kids and parents

We initially booked for two months and ended up staying for four. The resort is well run and all their staff, no matter their function on the resort are excellent and know what to do. They all go out of their way to help you and you quickly feel like part of the family.

Swadini is an excellent resort, which we have recommended to many friends, Kudus graze and browse between the very well-desgned, equipped and maintained chalets in a beautiful surrounding in the lower reaches of the magnificent Blyde Canyon.
It boasts a very comfortable heated as well as a much larger unheated swimming pool. Both with shallower ends for smaller kids, and a deeper end for taller persons. This is lowveld, and in September even the unheated pool is warm enough for swimming by active people.
The resort also offers trampolines, mini-golf, paintball shooting. And has rugby and cricket facilities

Swadini is an excellent place and highly recommended to the people. Their staff and all facilities are perfect and warmly welcoming guests. They need to allow the restaurant and shops to operate for 24hrs in case you came late to easily get something to eat or drink.
