Little Africa was amazing. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, we always received service with a smile. The lodge itself is thoughtfully laid out, able to accommodate wheelchair users and perfect for the elderly (no steps, walk in shower and rooms not to far away from the main lodge area). The food was superb, I honestly cannot fault a single thing the chef abd her team made us. We were fed really well and definitely ate way too much. We were asked of any dietary requirements when we booked as well as again upon arrival. Breakfast is a continental with delicious variety of cheeses, cold meats and home made breads. Followed by a warm breakfast (each day you can order an English breakfast or the breakfast special which changes daily). Lunch there was a main course and a dessert. We had delicious fish and chips on our first day, followed by rump and roast veggies on our second. On our last day we had a pork kebab with handcut chips and a delicious salad followed by amaruoa panacotta. Dinner: a three course meal each evening which was superb. Night 1: butternut soup followed by balsamic glazed sirloin and finished off with home made malva pudding and custard. Night 2: a braai done in the boma area with plenty of delicious salads, a venison stew (most delicious I have ever had) , pap and shebo, rice and then 3 different braai meats ( chicken, lamb chops, beef sausages). Desert was a delicious coffee chocolate cake. Night 3: lentil soup and a mango and biltong salad followed by a rack of lamb and finished with a lemon and coconut cake. The drinks were really well priced (which is often not the case at game lodges) their house wine brand a good south African favorite (Alvin's drift). We were never charged for tea or coffee and we drank a lot of it, Now onto my favorite part of our experience at Little Africa. The game drives was unlike anything we have had before. We have frequented a fair amount of lodges in South Africa in various provinces. What made it so special was that we had a game ranger (Thomas) and a tracker (Cazwell) they were a dynamic duo and you could truly see they had a passion for the Bush. They would frequently stop the vehicle and track the animal footprints. I cannot count how many times over our 5 game drives Cazwell would walk into the bush following lion/leapord/rihino or elephant footprints while we carried on driving with Thomas. Only to emerge out of nowhere 20 minutes later and having found the animals he was Tracking. Thomas would then off road with the car till we were a stones throw away from the animals. I have never had so many close up experiences with the big 5. Little Africa is superb value for money and I will be recommending it to everyone I know. I can't wiat to come back.…

Pollen, Shanty and the whole Little Africa team have created a beautiful, tranquil little paradise in the middle of the african Bush. They spoiled us in every way possible. Excellent food, stylish accomodation, warm and cordial hospitality and excellent service and help 24h a day if needed. We couldn't ask for more! And the game drives with Thomas and Caswell were most exceptional experiences we will never forget. Little Africa will remain a place of longing for me and my family for the rest of our lives.
