We were greeted by such friendly staff who made it a truely memorable experience. Dinner was exceptionally well done with our main steak dish cooked perfectly!
We were upgraded to an amazing room with a great view due to some load shedding constraints which was greatly appreciated

We checked in last week Thursday at The Wild Blue Lodge for a two night stay in a tent. From check-in the staff (Natasha & Thenjie) was absolutely outstanding, best service ever. The tent experience was such an amazing experience, just waking up to nothing but the beauty of the nature and the sound of the waterfall made it all worth it. The food was out of this world, it was definitely prepared with love (compliments to the Chef). What a beautiful experience we had and the staff made it enjoyable and also advised us on the must visit places around (The blyde river boat cruise, The three roundavales, The Gods window and The Potholes). Thank you so much for such a memorable experience, definitely going back for another stay🙂❤ Thank you from Thabang and Nomusa.

For the last 6 days we were the guests of Eric and his team of friendly and helpfull staff. We were treated to fantastic food, wine and overall service. The view from the units are to be remembered and I can strongly recommend this lodge to local and international clients. We will be back for sure. Special mention to Natasha, Issha, Ben and Max and the therapist Natash - so well trained and friendly. Thanks again.

Are you looking for a beautiful lodge in a peaceful setting with immaculate service and fantastic food? Look no further. Our 5 nights at the Wild Blue lodge exceeded our expectations. The Cottage (Baobab) is spacious with tastful decor and have all amenities you might wish. The cottage also have a large wooden deck with a fantastic view of the garden and the surrounding nature reserve. The sundowns are totaly magic from the deck. It´s very romantic setting and a perfect place for couples. Sabine and her staff will go an extra mile to make your stay perfect. The lodge is also a great starting point for tours to the Kruger national park, the Blyde river and other sightings. Dont miss this lodge.

We were impressed by very good and friendly service and very relaxed atmosphere. However staying in the tent was a bit dassappointing since it was extremely hot in the tent during the day. Portable air conditioner not sufficient. Spending 2 nights in the bushveld and opting for the all inclusive package, we were a bit dissapointed to get fishy starters at both dinners as well as a fish main course where we would have appreciated more meaty options. Breaksfasts were very good!

Response from Sabine Gammel, General Manager at The Wild Blue Lodge
Responded 06 May 2023
Dear Wenny, Thank you very much for your review. A tent, even with an air con, is unfortunately hotter than a cottage. We apologize for this. You booked our normal rate with breakfast and 3 course dinner not an all inclusive package. And the 2 fish starters were served to you as you followed the recommendation of our other guests who liked especially the salmon/avocado stack. Your main courses were ostrich and beef fillet. Kind regards Sabine and The Wild Blue Tean

The place is peaceful and tranquil, staff very friendly and always making sure that you are comfortable. Phillip has been a great host always available to assist. The game drive was amazing with his knowledge of game and the plants.

Far away from every bit of man made noise, as advertised, deep in the wilderness quietly feeding mental health and spirit. The amenities are excellent with great staff and food. Thank you very much for the warm welcome

Couple of nights to start my epic trip round South Africa.
Comfy beds in a huge room overlooking the bush, antelopes and monkeys right outside. Food was exceptional and the wine list had great choices.
Massage one of the best i've had and chilling by the pool after.
Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Definitely reccomend.
