Being in this area is quite nice including the nature and animals we could see. We were there with the whole family (8 people) and had a very nice dinner and some interesting walks in the nature, where we could see lots of animals (Kudus, Zebra tracks, etc.)

We really enjoyed our stay at Blyde River Canyon cottages. The cottages are very pretty, comfortable and we loved the Braai area and rock pool. The kitchen facilities are a little basic, but perfectly adequate, and our welcome was lovely. The zebra on the lawn were a definite bonus!

Very ice lodging and the pictures are as it appears. We ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge both of the nights were there and the food was really good. As an American we found the food to be inexpensive and much better than we find at home. Just a lovely country.

Very very nice family cottage inside a beautiful garden with lot of trees and animals. The cottage has all facilities and very nice fixtures, just renovated. Very good breakfast with fresh product and abboundance of food. Gluten free service

The most lovely settings with zebras coming to grass in the beautyfull garden. Very excellent and helpfull staff and the food was very good as well. We had the Honey Moon Suite which was very lovely and bigger than the otter rooms.

Very comfortable and very clean - some of the kitchen kit was bit tired. The staff are charming and you feel safe on the lodge grounds. All in all a lovely place to stay and area to visit - would definitely come back

We booked the honeymoon suite as we were told it was the biggest and nicest room but except for being slightly bigger than the others, there was nothing special about it. It was overpriced and very disappointing.

We stayed just one night after several days in the Kruger and on the way down to Nelspruit via the scenic route. A friendly greeting and we were escorted to our room, offered the dinner and breakfast menu and settled down to relax in the gardens. The room itself was compact and comfortable with en suite shower room and ideal for a one night stay. We saw Zebra and Monkeys roaming the garden and enjoyed the set dinner which was nicely prepared and to our taste. A lovely place, friendly people and certainly worth a stay in the Blyde River Canyon area.

We stayed here a few times before, and when we go to Kruger Parc, it is a great place to include in your trip. It is very close to `Kruger, as well as the views at God Window etc. The Lodge is is a botanical garden where the zebra’s now and then visit you at the pool! The garden is beautiful, as well as the interior. Dinner and breakfast are served outside in a romantic atmosphere. The food is home cooked, and this time we had a steak, so good and tender, you don’t get it like that in the best steakhouse!! The service is very friendly. We usually plan our trips around beautiful places to stay, and this is one of them!

We randomly booked into BRCL, looking for solace and peace, following the recent deaths of my elderly parents, who were living in Limpopo. Like us, they loved the beauty of Swadini and the grandeur of the canyon. This lodge turned out to be the perfect choice for us. Upon our arrival, we received the warmest of welcomes from Fortunate and Maria and we were shown to our perfectly appointed room in the main lodge. However, when Vicky learned of our recent bereavement and our desire for peace and tranquility, we were offered an upgrade to the Luxury Cottage, which we gladly accepted. What a perfect haven, it turned out to be. Just what we needed! Suitably private but not isolated, spotlessly clean, so very comfortable, amply spacious and with delightful outlooks onto the gardens and the bush beyond. The roaming wildlife at dawn and dusk daily was a special delight for us. Delicious breakfasts enjoyed on the veranda and sumptuous dinners in the "lapa", all beautifully prepared by chef Shirley and expertly served by the gracious and friendly Dhu-Dhu. Based on the genuine hospitality we received, we have no hesitation in recommending Blyde River Canyon Lodge to other travellers to this most beautiful of region. We have been living in Australia for many years now and our stay at BRCL reminded us of everything that is still good and special about Africa. Thank you for the memories. …
