The Lodge is very nice and peaceful. They include a wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed seeing zebras, antelope, and baboons on the property. It's a little ways out of town but they serve a delicious 3 course dinner in the evening for an extra charge.

Dear Carol, Thank you for being our guests and for taking the time to send us your feedback about your recent stay at Blyde River Canyon Lodge. It is always a pleasure to receive compliments highlighting particular positive aspects of the hotel and staff. This is after all, one of the best guidelines to evaluate and improve our services. We alos love the antics of the animals, sometimes it looks like Jurassic Park Once again, we are delighted that you chose to stay with us and look forward to the privilege of serving you again in the very near future. Truly a 4 star lodge - from reception to food. Great views, well-maintained. Cottage perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Calm location in a botanical garden. Nice pool. Close to hiking routes and boat tour on Blyde River. Zebras, gnus and antelopes live on site.

Arrival was great, first lady was friendly and full of smiles. The lady by reception was grumpy and didn't greet us. The Honeymoon suite was smaller than expected. The food was average at best. The ladies who looked after the rooms and helped with breakfast service were great. The breakfast and dinner - 2 /3 star at BEST. The cost is EXTREMELY HIGH when compared to a 5 star lodge we went to that was actually cheaper.

This hotel needs more exposure. It is extremely modern and well maintained set in awesome surroundings. The costs are far more favourable than surrounding establishments and is truly a 5 star experience. Fortunate from reception was an outstanding host and was at our service all the time making our stay unforgettable.

This lodge is located in a beautiful part of our country. The surrounding roads aren't in great shape so keep that in mind when traveling. The lodge itself is well maintained. The luxury cottage is spacious and clean. Due to Covid they adjusted their breakfast but there is still a wide variety to choose from and the fresh croissants are delicious. It was lovely to hear the bush babies at night and seeing the baboons play on the lawn in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you

It was lovely to arrive here to the welcome of the staff from the security guard to reception and then resturant staff, after a 30 hours trip from home, felt like we were home. we had the family lodge, spacious and comfy, felt reassuring to have the mosquito nets- despite not needing them. We loved not having a vast menu to try and choose from, food was tasty and well cooked, and we felt good value. Breakfast very good. Would happily stay here again.

Lovely property and a very pleasant experience in every way. It is situated a bit out of the way - the Blyde River Canyon itself and the famous landmarks are a drive away across the mountain (hence the name is somewhat misleading), but definitely worth coming nonetheless. Setting is beautiful anyway, and the whole lodge tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable (stayed in the loft room in the main building). Service is impecable, and there is a bonus of those zebras, wilderbeast and impalas on the property. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner absolutely fantastic (greatest compliments to the chef), but pricey. It doesn't come included in the accomodation package, so be prepared. Highly recommended all in all.

My family stayed for 2 nights in the 2 bed cottage which was clean, comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and staff friendly and attentive. Lovely grounds with friendly wildlife roaming freely. Great base for the Blyde river canyon which is a 10 minute drive away.

Very good food, nice service, accommodated dietary restrictions with no fuss, zebra and impala on site are fun, gardens nice, stars/ milkyway nice at night. This is a good option for an overnight stay near the Blyde Dam ( take boat ride to see hippos & Crocs. Also consider a short hike near dam as well. See small exhibit on area/ dam).

Stayed three nights at BRCL after visiting a Kruger game park on our way back to Johburg. The lodge is exactly as advertised and we couldn’t fault it. The grounds are lush, well maintained and full of African wildlife. Our stay was in the freshly renovated ‘Honeymoon Suite’ which is finished to a high standard. The set-menu restaurant dinners were hearty fare and represented good value. Breakfast included in the room rate was also very good. The sight seeing advice provided by assistant manager Bianca was friendly and spot on.
