The lodge is a very private, quite place where the hosts Paul and Victoria give it a family like atmosphere - placed at the river under big trees you can spent hours to watch the wildlife: many bucks but also elefants, hippo and even lion. The bush walks with Paul are excellent and having afterwards the breakfast overlooking the river is outstanding. The only backdraw is, that the reserve itself is not very big - so it is not the place for seeing for sure the big 5. But definitely you will fall in love with this place. Thank you Vicky and Paul.

Very cool lodge, well managed, in a private reserve facing the side of one of the most important river in the greater Kruger area. I also recommend the private tours (you cannot going around with your own car) because the ranger (Paul is I am not mistaking) is very competent and teach you lots of facts

Victoria and Paul are the warmest hosts ever! We had a wonderful time with lovely game drives, a fantastic bush walk and a perfect daytrip to blyde river canyon. If you don’t want to do any activities you can also do the ‚couch safari’ at the lodge, elephants and other animals come really close to the beautiful river at the lodge-stunning moments! Thanks to Victoria and Paul for a great time! Definitely not our last stay there!

We stayed here for only 3 nights, which was too short! We had never been to South Africa before and didn't know what to expect. The image that we had before, came to a complete reality the moment that we arrived. The lodge is at the banks of the Olifant Rivier and has a spectacular almost 360 degree view of what SA wildlife has to offer, including beautiful birds. We enjoyed the very good breakfasts and lunches on the gras near the river, whilst the vervet monkeys, impala's, waterbucks, hippo's and girafs passed by. Incredible! Even an elephant that we could almost touch passed by and a crocodile was swimming in the river. Victoria, Paul and their staff all do a great job. Paul was our guide during the safari's. These were great and he provided us with all the right information. This was a stay that we never wanted to end.…

We, a family of three, stayed for two nights at Maninghi Lodge in April 2023. We certainly recommend this excellent lodge to everybody who wants to feel pampered in the middle of nowhere. Watch elephants play while having your breakfast at the lawn. Knowledgable ann pleasant game drives.

Paul picked us up right on time and whisked is to his lodge where staff greeted us with cold towels. The food is amazing, but the animals are everywhere! We has elephants walking along the river bank, monkeys, and the safaris were amazing. Lions, Giraffes, elephants, and sun down drinks on safari!

It is absolutely a magical place. It's so serene and tranquil that you will feel like you are in a different world. I've never felt so recharged. There are animals right in front of the lodge every day. Paul, Victoria and their staff are just wonderful. They really went above and beyond to make our stay special. Paul is a very experienced safari guide and knew just where to find the animals. We saw a lion, lots of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and many other animals. He is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and plants and even showed us constellations over the beautiful South African sky. We had delicious meals every day. Maninghi is a real gem.

Maninghi Friends, Thank you for a most memorable stay at your beautiful corner of Belula private game reserve. Your position on the river is absolutely magical! The five nights we spent with you were not enough, but are they ever? We were so lucky with the most remarkable game viewing during our stay on all our drives and the bush walk with your knowledgeable guides. The food was both delicious and beautiful and certainly deserves a mention. If you are thinking of putting Maninghi Lodge on your South African itinerary do yourself a favor and don’t hesitate. While our game viewing was exceptional, it cannot be predicted or replicated and so, the real reason to visit Maninghi is the warmth and hospitality of the team behind Maninghi Lodge. Until next time, friends!
