The Baobab Bush Lodge is an unforgettable spot where you can experience the ‘Real Africa’ in a truly unique way. The 4-star graded Lodge is surrounded by enchanting fauna and flora and is far away from all the stressful, hustle and bustle of life. The Lodge is an ideal vacation venue which offers all the benefits of a Guest House, Bed and Breakfast and Nature Lodge within a 24-hour secured Wildlife Estate which adjoins an extensive ‘green belt’ where you can spot passing wildlife such giraffes, zebras and kudus (to name a few) from the comfort of your suite or whilst exploring the area on foot, horseback, bicycle or by car. Boasting several luxurious and spacious suites which blend perfectly into the African bushveld, we ensure mutually exclusive privacy and tranquillity for all our guests during their stay. All suites have a top-quality bed, air conditioning, outside shower and private veranda, with an infinity swimming pool at the heart of the property for ease of access. In addition to four suites in the garden, there is also a family suite which includes two separate suites adjacent to each other, sharing an indoor and outdoor shower / bathroom. We also cater for honeymooners with a lux standalone suite which has its own private garden for bathing, showering and general relaxation. All rooms are cleaned daily and come standard with luxury bed linen, towels, coffee and tea facilities, minibar, clothes rack and a variety of chairs. Super-fast Wi-Fi is free and available to all our patrons. When you exit the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate you will encounter our cozy town of Hoedspruit, which offers much to do and experience within the immediate and extended surroundings. The famous Kruger Park is half an hour’s drive from the lodge and the Blyde River Canyon is 60-minutes away. As your personal hosts, we are happy to share our passion for Africa and its natural wonders and look forward to introducing you to this little “Piece of Paradise” in a unique, luxurious and unforgettable way.

Detailed Reviews
My time at The Baoab Bush Lodge was really special. The first day that I arrived I immediately knew I was in paradise. The sight of all the suites with the pool in the middle is very beautiful, you can feel the relaxing atmosphere and that you're one with nature. The pool has an infinity waterfal and during the night the pool is lighted which is very luxurious. Beside the pool is a place with two chairbeds that are facing the bush. That is real reality tv. You can just sit back, relax and watch animals that are frequently coming to drink from the small pool of water that is strategically placed for the animals.
The most amazing part was the hospitality of the owners: Edwin and Kirsten. They make you feel at home in an instant and you can have good and very fun conversations with them. They have a lot of crazy stories about their life in the bush and how they realised their dream by starting the lodge. I slept in the Leopard suite which is very beautiful. The best part of the room was the outside shower. Showering while having a green deck of leaves and the blue sky above is an amazing feeling, I did that every morning. But in the evening there is also a light for the outside shower, so that is even more special. But inside was also a really good shower.
The Boabab Bush Lodge is situated in the Hoedspruit wildlife estate and it is directly neighbouring the bush. So you can just walk of the terrain, straight into the bush and see a lot of animals. When I was walking the dogs I frequently saw giraffe, impalas, zebra's and many many beautiful birds. I bet you can't have that in your home town. Another benefit of the location is that the wildlife estate does not allow light pollution. Therefore you can see soo many stars at night, you can even see the milky way. It is a truly unique safari experience.

Wonderfully, complete, new and very clean lodges on a fantastic location in the park. Exactly like the fotos on internet. Wildlife around the lodge and very nice pool, bicycles and even motorbikes. Very very friendly owners, they have made this place perfect and they know all activities and good restaurants nearby. An unforgettable experience for us with our 3 kids for 2 weeks.

Stayed here for 4 absolutely blissful nights. Luca and Valeria are the best hosts you could possibly think of. They have daily visits from all sorts of wild animals that live within the estate so you’ll never have a day with no wildlife sightings. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The highlight of this trip was the pool that’s just perfect after a hot days drive and the absolutely cracking 4 course Italian meal hand prepared by Luca and Valeria. I highly recommend this place if you want the best and affordable wildlife experience close to Kruger.

Great little place in the bush in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate.Rooms are private stand alone units away from owners house.Breakfast and service of high standard.
Recommendation to owner will be to fit shower doors instead of curtains.

Had a great stay at The Boabab Bush Lodge over Christmas. Luca (owner) was very welcoming and hospitable, always available when we needed anything. The facilities were fantastic - we felt safe and secure. A highlight was being able to enjoy the bush with unobstructed views from the pool area. The lodge is ideal for anyone needing a place to stay before heading through to the Kruger National park and/or the panarama route of the lowveld. The lodge seems to be built around this idea as it is not selfcatering and thus needs some planning when it comes to lunch and supper. Breakfast however was really good with a generous serving of bacon and eggs.

We enjoyed the peaceful location, the passing wildlife, and the hospitality here. It was an ideal place to spend a night before entering Sabi Sands but would be very suitable for a longer stay. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Luca and his wife are excellent hosts.
