Nice clean rondavels and a magnificent view to the bush. Furthermore a lovely bar to relax and have a beer and chat with Luke the barkeeper. The food is really good, breakfast and dinner. What else do you wish for.

Timbavati had tasty food, clean rooms, friendly 'on site' local animals and Luke at the bar knows how to make a mean cocktail 👌 I stayed here for 5 weeks while on a volunteering project, it felt like home away from home. This is a perfect location for nearby Kruger National Park, and Kylie in reception went above and beyond...

I had another great stay at Timbavati Safari Lodge. The lodge attracts like minded, relaxed friendly travellers that you don't always find at the more expensive places. The staff bend over backwards to accommodate guests- a special thank you to Rob the manager and Luke the barman (and driver, and guide, and everything else!). Will be back as it is...

We were staying at the Southern African Wildlife College and we went to Timbavati Safari Lodge for Dinner one evening. We were actually a bit cheeky and asked to use the pool before dinner for a few hours and we ended up having lunch there too. We were warned that the pool was freezing cold, it wasn't too bad though!...

If you need a really good value for money lodge that is unpretentious yet really comfortable and with good food etc, then look no further. Great place to base yourself en route to Kruger or even to do day visits into the central Park. I found the staff very friendly (except those that sat around the bar smoking like chimneys...
