We have booked the honeymoon suite for our anniversary and paid for it 2 months in advance. However 2 days before the due date Anita send me a e-mail informing me that she's got bad news for me. A function was booked thus they get 1st option on the honeymoon suite. I will be downgraded to the "Love" room and she will refund the R200 difference. When we got there Anita did surprise us with a small platter and a bottle of wine in our room. The only problem is we could not sit on the beautiful chairs as it were very unstable and the chair-legs folded when my husband tried to sit on it so we took everything out in the garden and sat on a swinging chair as the other garden chairs in front of our unit was very dirty. Late that afternoon I had a bath and asked Anita if she could please supply us with a bulb for the bathroom she made a joke out of it and said I could use the candles. Just to find out an hour later that the switch for the bathroom light was switched off in the main house. Also there was no chair in front of the vanity so I had to use one of the dirty garden chairs. When we returned at midnight the lamps also did not work - it was not plugged in!! The next morning we were woken just after 6 with 3 high pitched beeps (we still don't know what it was). The staff (one of them stays 2 meters across our unit) was so busy between her own unit, the kitchen (on our right) and the hall were they had the function (on our left side), that we could not sleep any more. We tried switching on the TV but the DSTV was off. After investigating we found the 2 point plug hanging and the cable was to short to get to the plug and even if we could get it close there was no 2 point plug. At breakfast glasses were supplied for juice but there was no juice. After breakfast one of the ladies came in the room and when we asked her about it she just laughed and said she forgot to bring it out. My honest opinion is for the price you can get much nicer accommodation especially if you celebrate something like an anniversary.
