I have mixed feelings towards this hotel.
What's great? Good price, conveniently located near the Gautrain station, businesses and Centurion mall. Has a complimentary shuttle service that doesn't stop too early (exact times escape me now). A decent breakfast selection. Meeting rooms. A breakfast pack to go if you'll miss breakfast due to meetings etc. Good sized rooms, comfortable bed.

What's not so great? I've had quite a few issues with rooms that need some maintenance. A flickering bathroom light in a previous stay. This month it was a dripping/ leaking aircon in room102. Carpet was wet and the constant drip sounds kept me awake. Tried calling 9 for reception twice, no answer. Shut aircon off, but it seems leaking only stopped close to morning. Possible blocked/ bent moisture outlet pipe that needs maintenance attention/ cleaning.
Reception staff could be friendlier, more attentive... I don't get a feeling of "I've just received excellent service" when I leave there.

Things that would be nice to have. Better lighting around the basin mirror for make-up applications. In future, possibly better sound proofing for rooms near the elevators? I think it will also be great to have a notification on the back of the door on when last the room had a full maintenance check... faucets, lighting, aircon, power outlets, etc.

Nice rooms helpful staff shuttle to cricket ground. Bar was chaos at happy hour with all the cricket fans needs better organisation. Food OK but clearing tables at breakfast and replenishing food needs attention. Several things on menu not available.

UK business traveller. One week visiting a local business. Great value hotel. Great food in restaurant. Complimentary taxi shuttle in local area saved a lot of hassle of taxis etc. First class gym 100m away with complementary passes for guests.
Also lots of golf and golf practice nearby. Very accommodating general manager gave us a warm welcome. Thank you Jaco.

We stayed as part of a visiting cricket tour. There were a lot of guests staying but, the hotel management accepted the bookings, all the bookings and should have been far more prepared than the hotel was. During our stay the hotel ran out of most alcohol, a lot of food!!), no steak, cheese, fish, tea(!!) and it was generally unacceptable. The staff were all put under a great amount of pressure and, when people asked to see a manager no one came forward. For a Protea/Mariott hotel this is so so poor. The staff were very good in difficult circumstances but why you accepted so many bookings yet failed to be present during our stay is beyond us all. To not have your food ordered to cover for a huge amount of tourists is ridiculous. Preparation is key. Thoroughly disappointing.

We booked a two night stay at Anew. The room we reserved was a Superior family suite as we were traveling with our teenage sons. We were impressed with the reception and open plan lounge and bar area. It looked clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were given our key card and off we went to our room. When we opened the door, we noticed that there was only one double bed and no beds for the kids. We phoned down to reception and they said they had realized their mistake and we would be moved to another room shortly. Nearly an hour later waiting in a room with no working aircon and after hours of traveling is just not fun. Eventually we move to family suite which on the surface appeared good, but we soon realized that both aircons and the safe were not working. We requested that maintenance come look into this while we went out. When we arrived back at about 8pm, reception said everything was sorted out and we had been moved again to a suite with working aircons etc. The first thing I did was check that and they weren't working. By this time, I was tired and beyond annoyed that yet again they couldn't get things right! My husband went to reception to sort things out and he was taken all over the hotel looking for suitable room for us to move to. He said the rooms were in desperate need of maintenance. Ripped leather seats, mirrors cracked and falling off walls, leaking toilets and aircons not working. I know covid has taken its toll, but the least they could do is have a few well maintained rooms. We were eventually moved for the 4th time to two rooms next to each other. The rooms were comfortable, but aircons were noisy (at least they worked). I am due to return to Centurion in March and this hotel will not be my choice.

We stayed here for a week during the England Cricket Test Series and I cant complain at all as the hotel was exactly what we needed. Good sized / clean rooms - a shuttle bus that was provided free to the cricket ground every day I thought was a nice touch.

It was easy to tell that Centurion had never hosted a Boxing Day test match before, let alone the one for the size of England touring but I guess that isn't their fault with no experience of such things.

Having been out for most of the evenings (apart from Christmas Day when the hotel ran out of pretty much every form of alcohol) I cant comment about such things as happy hour etc. We also only ever ate breakfast in the hotel which was decent and plentiful. I always found the staff more than helpful, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Hotel was in a good location right next to the big shopping mall, considering there isn't much else to do in Centurion itself and right next to the Gautrain for easy connections to Sandton and OR Tambo Airport. The outside pool area and decking area is nice but I would say missing something such as an outside bar ...

I believe that should England have another Boxing Day test in Centurion, the hotel would now know what is coming its way and be better prepared but all in all - no major complaints from me :)

Facilities are fine but service is hit and miss. Do not bother with the food. Ordered room service and it never arrived. Went down to the kitchen to find out the stuff I ordered was not in stock, but nobody bothered to let me know.

I gave them a second order and then they arrived with half the items because they forgot to bring some of the items.

I’d like to also point out that the food is horribly overpriced and the waiters will lie about what you get.

A R35 portion of chips gets you 15 half baked chips.

it is really difficult to order food from the menu due to the fact that what ever you want to order is out of stock . For this type of business this is a totally miss. I’d like to also point out that the food is overpriced and the waiters do not know what is available . A R35 portion of onion rings give you 5 rings.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The local free shuttle service is useful although some confusion the hours it’s free and when it runs. Rooms are fine. Could I please urge both the bar and front desk to have change. It’s the same issue every time I stay. However, all generally good.

Very well located but Hotel rooms are worn out with some tile edges dirty . First thing which one may not like is a wash basin outside the bathroom in the room as you enter .

Wash Basin drain was stuck and water could not drain out. I made a complaint but my complain was not attended and nothing was done even after 6 hours . I had to get the drain lid loose with the help of a fork /knife to drain out the water.

One of the best and comfortable sofas in the lobby that I have ever used.

Nothing special about this Hotel. I sure did find a better place in the past at a much lower price.
