I visited this place on the 31st of October. From the time you drive in, you can feel the warm welcome. The security guard, the receptionist, everyone treats you like royalty.....And the food....oh my word! Do yourself a favour and go experience hospitality at its best in beautiful surroundings. Everyone here is a superstar, special thanks to Bra Max for making my visit memorable. I'm definitely coming back. Thank you for the 5 star service

We often use this venue for business functions. This time was a smaller dinner event for eight. The setting is beautiful and the location ver convenient. Dinner is always good and so is the service. The wines were terrible as stock levels were low.

I recently stayed at River Meadow Manor for a business workshop and I was very impressed with the level of service and the cleanliness of the venue.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back to visit.

On arrival at my room (Monday afternoon) there was still all the prior guests rubbish on the verandah floor. Balloon holders, confetti, bits of random cardboard etc. I was booked into a luxury room, supposedly with aircon according to the website, but it is actually just a fan. There is no aircon in the room (false advertising). The king size bed has been replaced with a rock hard queen size bed, as the website advertises king beds for luxury rooms. The linen is frayed and tatty. Watermarks on the side tables, mildew on the bathroom ceilings. The food was very average, and Catering for vegetarian and halaal colleagues was horrific. Cheap and nasty halaal meals were ordered in at an offensive cost, chef kept forgetting to make vegetarian meals, so my colleagues had to eat veggies and rice for lunch and dinner, and he once suggested my colleagues just eat the fish dish. This was once a lovely meeting venue. Sadly it seems to have deteriorated significantly.

Attended a B’Day party and couldn’t believe the dilapidation of the gardens and property. Definitely not the RMM I used to know. I ordered Tempura Prawns and received an entire prawn with head and shell dipped in dough! 🤬
Broken tables and chairs just stacked on a patio outside. Definitely will not see me again! 😥

They had renovation work going on and did not inform us about it prior to bookings. They set a table outside when there was a cold front and when we requested a table inside, there were conference guests working up and down right next to our table. The table was not clean, food came in batches and half an hour after others were done eating. It was a mess!!!!!

Booked for the weekend to relax in what we thought was a luxury hotel only to find the place in a total mess after a year end party on Friday, chairs & tables lying around. Broken glass on the floor etc. Checked in, they did not have a baby cot so our 2 year old had to sleep on the floor. There is no wifi in our room, management try to fix it but then just shrugged his shoulders after several attempts to reboot. Worst was yet to come.

There was another year end party booked for Saturday, this time it was total chaos. We went to get someting to eat at a close by restaurant as the in house restaurant only have 2 options and when we came back the security wanted us to park outside the property in a field, after convincing him we will not, they still wanted us to park about 600m from our unit and then the worst part came. They allow their year end party goers to party until after 4am, turning the place into a night club. We did not sleep at all. Will never come back. Shocking management of a beautiful property.

This is by far the worst place for a business trip. No wifi coverage to work in rooms, rooms with doors that can easily compromise your privacy. We just ate dinner in the dark!! I am writing this hoping management will see it and rescue us!!! I mean how do you NOT have stable wifi in 2024, as an establishment?

I travelled to Irene from England to attend my daughter's wedding here and what can I say but it was truly superb and a most glorious time. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff no matter how small. The staff are most friendly with smiles all day long. The few guests from England able to attend absolutely loved the venue and their beautiful rooms. Bonnie worked tirelessly to ensure my daughter's day was perfect.

I stayed at the River Meadow Manor Country House whilst working recently in Pretoria. After my 11 hour flight from Heathrow, London, it was a most welcome sight.
I was treated like a visiting dignitary, shown to my room and made to feel completely at ease.
The staff were exemplary, nothing was too much for them and again I felt completely at ease and truly welcome.
On the night where they were fully booked (half-way through my stay), I dined in a lovely part of the House, away from the crowds of conference attendees and was served a delicious meal before being driven to the Pheasant Hill Country House nearby, where I stayed for the night.
The following day, it felt like going back to meet old friends.
I can highly recommend this retreat from a long day at the office, where you can really unwind and recharge your batteries.
My only complaint? I didn't stay there long enough but that's not River Meadow Manor's fault; it's my own stud fault!
