Requested the room made up for parent's 50th anniversary 2 days before arriving... Did not happen ... At check-in we were told the room wasn't ready (15:15) which they said they'll call us when ready. At 16:55 I had to go to reception to find out if the room was ready. Gave me a card and that's it... I had to find a porter to help with luggage and to show us where the room is. No information or introductory was given except for an envelope. Not as expected, small, dirty, faulty plugs, curtains moulded ... And this is where we have to stay for a week!?! Power keeps cutting out( not loadshedding), went to reception (people were shouting in stuck elevator btw). I asked what's going on, the reply was " we are working on it" ... I asked for flashlights or candles or anything to produce light and the answer given was "no" (quote / unquote ) then turned his back on me and walked away. It is now Tuesday, 3 May 2022 @ 22:56 and the power went on and of for the 6th time. We are checking out on 8th of May 2022 and the only possitive experience was when I asked housekeeping to replace the dirty and torn pillowcases on day 1, which the houskeeper lady was very friendly, apologetic and the only staff member seen to actually smile. Bad management, rude staff and worst place stayed ever!!!

If you are used to good service don’t come! The place does NOT look like the photos anymore. The place seriously needs maintenance in MANY areas! The seating area at reception is really DIRTY! The wicker sets are broken and they just use tie backs to “fix” the problem. Its not just wear and tear its dirty. The restaurant ask/demand competitive prices but the omelet for instance has processed cheese in and is so salty your tongue burns from it! The english breakfast has baked beans in and the put the baked beans in a Tupperware container on your plate. If this is your only holiday and your hard earned money think twice. Our glass door to the balcony is broken and the balcony area is a walk through so any one can walk jn and take your stuff. The maintenance guy came hang around for two minutes and said he will be back in 10min. Never came back. Asked four times at reception. Nothing happend. Asked the next morning again and nothing happend. The water pipe broke this side of the block and we had to walk in our pyjamas to another block to get a shower. They gave us a key did NOT check the room to see if everything was ok. When we got there it was still occupied! I almost died! Its not just a water pipe. Its very poor service, very poor maintenance, just a traumatising experience.

Reception changed our unit 3 times on check in. We refused to stay in the unit they took us to eventually, Disgraceful to even offer it to us. In desperate nneed of a renovation and definitely not for 4 people. Every thing in that area dilapidated. Then they took us to a better room, still small though. Cupboards mouldy. Definitely below standard. Staff very unhelpful, excepting cleaning staff they were so obliging and happy. Our stay was out of peak season so guests were subjected to their annual renovations. A visit to the spa, was dreadful as there was a jack hammer directly above us. Surely they should close resort for say 2 weeks to complete renovations? Which by the way was slap dash, eg they tried to get the coconuts off palm trees and one broke a barge board breaking it and another smashed through the deck, staff just pulled an umbrella over the hole. One elevator, just not sufficient. Swimming pool and loungers were lovely. (Literally only plus in the resort) Reception has been renovated - for the brochure? Flexi Club / First Resort what a disappointment. Definitely won't be back.

Terrible is a kind word. We were booked to stay in a 2 sleeper sea facing studio - refurbished unit, but got put into a 2 sleeper unit that was way past expiry date. The bathroom tiles have black mould, and many other issues with the lodging. We will never stay there again and would strongly advise against spending good money to stay there

I am appalled,In these difficult days of covid these people do not take cleanliness seriously.First day they were not ready for me to check in ,when I finally went into the room the bin was not emptied, curtains had make-up stains ,floors were were but dirty I had to call them to come clean they still did a rush job. My husband had to clean our apartment himself. If you care about your health and cleanliness give it a miss. They have no sense of urgency and are used to guests complaining
