The Hampshire Hotel in Ballito offers a pleasant and comfortable stay. Rooms are clean and well-furnished and all have TV, coffee-making facilities and AC. Staff are friendly and helpful. A buffet breakfast is served but no other meals. A large swimming pool offers visitors a refreshing dip on those hot Ballito days. There is secure parking in the hotel grounds.
Within easy walking distance of two large shopping malls, shops and restaurants, the hotel
is about four kilometers from the Ballito CBD and one of the Dolphin Coast's many popular beaches. The hotel is situated close to the N2.Definitely value for money.

Average stay except that this hotel has such thin walls and you can practically hear everything happening next door to such an extent that we had to call the reception on a couple of times to ask them to get the neighbours to lower their TV volume or get their kids to lower the noise. Reception was excellent though. The staff goes an extra mile to ensure one is comfortable.

After reading mixed reviews about the New Hampshire Ballito, I wasn't expecting much from our stay.But I must admit we were pleasantly surprised by our overall stay.A friendly and helpfull front desk awaits you during check-in/out.Rooms are spacious and neat wit a microwave and fridge.The bed has to be the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in.Daily housekeeping is done well and a fair breakfast is served daily. Ample parking is available(undercover also) with visible security.
A few negatives- noisy air-con which emmited a stale odour,curtains were stained and a very outdated bathtub.Nothing that proper maintenance and housekeeping can't sort out.
Traffic noise from the adjacent highway can be heard in rooms that are highway facing....so choose your room carefully.
Overall....good value for money.

Just spent a week at the Hampshire Hotel in Ballito. The air-conditioner didn't work in our initial room so we were moved to a new room where the air conditioner didn't work either. The shelf in the bathroom of the new room wasn't cleaned so I requested that it be cleaned the following day. It was still not cleaned when I got back to the room the next day. The towel hook fell off the wall when I hung up my towel. On one morning, the muffins had egg shells in them. Of the 6 nights that we spent at the hotel, a buffet breakfast was only available on the first day. On the other days, there were limited choices available, even though breakfast was an additional charge. We were only offered a R250 voucher on one morning after complaining about the limited range available. On the last morning, it took 35 minutes for the chef to prepare an omelette and 2 fried eggs and the omelette was not prepared as per my order. Although, we complained to the manager Sally Soobramony, every time there was an issue, nothing was done to make our stay any better. Staff and guests were also allowed to walk and sit in public areas with their masks on their chins. No social distancing was enforced in the restaurant. We were only offered a 'Sorry about the minor inconvenience' at checkout. A week for accommodation and breakfast at the hotel was not cheap and I definitely did not get my monies worth. I won't be returning.

Very warm and please hotel, and staff is very hospitality.

You can combinate in different ways for long stay.

When we checked in the room had a terrible musky smell. It seemed to of been water damaged and not properly dried up and cleaned thereafter. We complained to the front desk and were sent to another room with the exact same issue. We complained again and were then sent to a third room but the furniture had water damage, the shower silicone grouting had mould and the toilet didn’t fill up after flushing. Eventually the manager came to us and apologised and arranged for a fourth room which was much better than the first three. One of the nights other guests were drinking and partying till the morning, slamming doors and screaming. The restaurant and bar were extremely quiet and looked extremely dull. The hotel seemed extremely quiet for peak season in an holiday town and now I understand why.

This is the worst hotel in kzn. Really filthy with stained carpets in the rooms with the bath also badly stained. Breakfast is really poor with just fruit and yogurt available. If you want a pleasant stay then please book elsewhere. This hotel should be closed.

We were lived here few weeks, for business trip. In general - everything is great, when there were any problems they were solved quickly.
Very safety place - there are no random people here.
Far from the ocean - for someone it will be a minus.
And the most hospitality staff I have ever seen. I miss you, guys.

i have had such a bad experience at the Hampshire Hotel in Ballito my husband an i had went there on the 24th of Jan 2015 we had moved rooms 4 times because the rooms were not up to standard i have been in touch with gabby but no response from management. what a waste of our money and time
