There is nothing wrong with this place but perhaps we were expecting more given the reviews and price. Lots of nice touches, breakfast and service great, convenient location. Downsides: photos don’t capture how tight the rooms are, fortunately place was under occupied when we stayed, pool needs a good clean For me given the above between average and good

Our three night stay at Jakita was amazing, with a few highlights Impeccable service They let us check in early (9am) so I could work. They also let me work until 6pm on my final day. They organized delicious and creative vegan breakfast for me and my girlfriend. I had a big birthday cake for my girlfriend which was constantly being ferried back and forth between their fridges and our room. We got great recommendations for local restaurants able to accommodate vegans. A luxurious boutique hotel The bedrooms and rest of the boutique hotel has incredible attention to detail and interior designs. The additional features we really appreciated include oil flame lamps everywhere, a warm fireplace, a cosy recessed "firepit", a koi fish pond, comfy loungers by the pool, high resolution 4k Netflix enabled TV's. There are 4 rooms, 2 with en suite, 2 that share a well fitting bathroom across the passage. On one night we had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend Jakitas

We spent 4 glorious days at Jakita's Guest House. Katrina is the ultimate host. Always making sure we had everything we needed. On Christmas Day she organized a BBQ dinner for the guests. We dined in the terrace, where we had a view of the ocean, staying past midnight drinking wine and engaged in lively conversation. The guest house is beautifully decorated, and the rooms were so comfortable. Although I usually have difficulty sleeping when I travel, I slept like a baby. The house is located in a quiet residential street within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and other amenities. If you travel to Ballito, this is where you should stay.

They stay at Jakita's exceeded our expectations. Centrally located but still tranquil and peaceful, tastefully decorated and pristine clear. The owner extremely friendly and informative, the staff very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely come back.
