Our three night stay at Jakita was amazing, with a few highlights

Impeccable service
They let us check in early (9am) so I could work. They also let me work until 6pm on my final day. They organized delicious and creative vegan breakfast for me and my girlfriend. I had a big birthday cake for my girlfriend which was constantly being ferried back and forth between their fridges and our room. We got great recommendations for local restaurants able to accommodate vegans.

A luxurious boutique hotel
The bedrooms and rest of the boutique hotel has incredible attention to detail and interior designs.
The additional features we really appreciated include oil flame lamps everywhere, a warm fireplace, a cosy recessed "firepit", a koi fish pond, comfy loungers by the pool, high resolution 4k Netflix enabled TV's. There are 4 rooms, 2 with en suite, 2 that share a well fitting bathroom across the passage. On one night we had the whole place to ourselves.

Highly recommend Jakitas

This must be one of the best guest houses in the North Coast, with excellent service especially from Samuel the Manager and all the other staff. The breakfast was made to perfect specifications the setting was so tranquil call and beautiful.
We stayed in the Phola Room with its own "sunken Deck" and every night Samuel would come and light a deck centre piece paraffin fireplace, at this sunken deck you can have your own wine or whatever you want to and the little bar fridge let you have enough space to keep everything cold.

We were able to escape the busy Ballito beaches and find ourselves relaxing by the pool at Jakita's in a tranquil setting which allowed us to unwind and soak up the sun. Our actual stay was delightful and the room has a very romantic feel to it. My only suggestion would be to book a room with a bathroom - we had to leave our room and access the bathroom across the passage. This was only a small inconvenience though and not something that would prevent me from booking again. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the owner and staff were incredibly friendly.

Jakita's Guesthouse isn't just a place to stay – it's an experience. Picture this: lush subtropical gardens swaying in the breeze, the Indian Ocean whispering secrets just beyond the deck, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that wraps you in comfort. It's the perfect blend of laid-back paradise and stylish elegance.

My room was a dream – spacious, with sun-kissed balconies and soft linens that practically begged you to linger. But the real magic was the details: the hand-painted tiles in the bathroom, the locally sourced artwork, and the little welcome platter laden with homemade treats. It felt like Jakita herself had poured her heart into every corner.

And speaking of Jakita, her staff are just as remarkable. From Samuel's infectious smile and helpful tips to the kind faces greeting you at every turn, the service was personalized and genuine. They weren't just employees; they were hosts, welcoming you into their little piece of Ballito magic.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape amidst the palms or a stylish base for exploring the vibrant town, Jakita's Guesthouse delivers on all fronts. It's a place where you can truly unwind, soak up the beauty of Ballito, and feel pampered from the moment you step through the door. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and with a heart full of sunshine. Jakita's won't just be a stay on your trip – it'll be a treasured memory.

We arrived late at the guesthouse and the owner made sure that we had a reservation to eat at a restaurant. The communication beforehand was very attentive. We had a beautiful room with an awesome view of the garden and the ocean and a lovely private terrace. A bottle of wine was waiting for us upon return. We have learned a lot during breakfast by talking to the owner and manager of this B&B about Zulu culture, South-Africa and African culture in general. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return when visiting KZN again.

I had an awesome stay at Jakitas. They went out of their way to look after me.

It is a very tranquil environment. There is a koi pond outside the room which provides good white noise to block out other noises.

They also accommodated my request to eat early so that I could get to my exam on time.

Jakita Jakita Jakita, I felt secure from that alarm clicking sound when I walk in the main door after parking so that's a 10 for security.
I loved the homely feeling and how the front door has a view to the outside pool area.
Our caretaker was so friendly I wanted to ask if there was something wrong that she is trying to make up for.
I loved the full breakfast because I only needed to eat very late.
Our room was just the right romance and comfort, it was trully a great stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at Jakita’s, staff were friendly, it was clean, the decor is amazing, the breakfasts were delicious, the view was wonderful. I was surprised to see that someone had washed my car too, after being on dirt roads in the Midlands. Human kindness…
