We enjoyed a very nice, quiet 1-night stay in this clean, bright room with a large deck overlooking the estuary. The view was beautiful! The hosts were very friendly and were kind enough to make a last minute same-night reservation for us for dinner in town. A nice breakfast is included. Be aware that there may be mosquitoes in the area; the room includes mosquito repellant plugged into the wall.

We booked the honeymoon room last minute (as disliked where we were previously staying) and we could not have been more thankful. The private decking and it’s insane view across the lake was perfection. We enjoyed a hot afternoon on the decking with the beers from the room fridge (paid for at the end of the stay) and felt completely at peace. Kevin & Elsie were so friendly and accommodating. Kevin’s breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve had in the longest time!! We were truly sad to leave. Strongly advise everyone to book at Interlaken.

Hotel exceeded our expectations, the views were amazing.
Kevin and Elsie were amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming and even cooked a beef fillet on the brai for us! Will definitely be going back to sample the lamb on the brai!
If you have the option of booking a room on the lower level, definitely go for it as the only slight drawback from our room was you could here the traffic from the road when sitting on our balcony. Wasn’t loud enough to ruin our experience!

We have done many road trips around S.A and stayed in many places and Interlaken is definitely one of the best from there spectacular views of the lake, beautiful sunsets, clean rooms, comfy beds and the delicious breakfast prepared by Elsie, and Kevin they are such a lovely friendly couple and make you feel at home. We just wished we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back.

Really awesome host, beautiful relaxed atmosphere. Lovely breakfast was served on a deck overlooking the lake and comfy bed to sleep in. The room had a minibar and all that was needed. Would easily recommend it

Most friendly hosts, Kevin makes the best breakfast, stunning views , beautiful and very relaxed. The guesthouse is close to many things to do. If you just want to relax you won’t find a better place.

Fleeing from a cow field supposed to be a campsite, we had the pleasure of finding a very nice room and very friendly hosts. We enjoyed an elegant room with a beautiful view of the lagoon. The dinner prepared by kavin was also excellent. Highly recommanded

Interlaken Guesthouse was the perfect choice for our family weekend in Wilderness. The guesthouse is very comfortable, sparkling clean and in a great location with a gorgeous view. Kevin & Elsie are very welcoming hosts and put on a beautiful breakfast for us and provided great restaurant recommendations for dinner too. When we left an item they were quick to send it to us which was very appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

I got a warm welcome from Kevin and Elsie. The place is amazing, spotless clean and sunsets feel very special, the light's hue is quite something! You also get all convenience if you need wine or water for example, it's already there. If you are looking for something more remote, note that we can still hear a few cars on the main road from the room.

We were tipped by a befriended tourist guide that we MUST book at Interlaken Guest house and that ik was worth a detour. Well, we did and it was beyond expectations! Elsie and Kevin were great hosts, besides making a tasty breakfast every day (breakfast with a view), they gave good tips for restaurants and things to do. We also spoke about life in SA and got to know their background (Elsie about her Dutch background and Kevin about his careerchange). We had fantastic rooms, beds but the view during sunrise and sunset was the best. We highly recommend Interlaken guesthouse in Wilderness.
