Albert & Tersia were very welcoming and kind. The accommodation is stunning and is excellent value for money - we would highly recommend it. Full English breakfast is included and an honesty bar is available. Very elegantly furnished and Tersia is a fantastic artist with her oil and water colour paintings displayed around the property.

We just spent a fabulous weekend at Xanadu Guest Villa. Tersia and Albert are friendly hosts, and they have obviously trained their staff to be the same. We stayed in the Oyster Room, a spacious room with a magnificent view over the beach and ocean. The bed was very comfortable, and there were two easy chairs with a footstool in a nook to relax with a book or cup of tea. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, as well as a kettle, microwave and bar fridge. The attention to detail is obvious - sewing kit and first aid kit in the drawer, gowns and wide range of toiletries in the bathroom. As it was raining on Saturday, we happily spent the day in our room. The breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. There is lots of space in the lounge areas to relax. Xanadu has direct access to the pristine beach down a short flight of steps from the garden. All in all, we had a great weekend, cannot fault Xanadu on anything.

From the minute we were in contact with Xanadu, nothing was too much trouble for them to do for us. The stunning villa was exactly like the photographs on the website. Our luxurious Neptune Suite had floor to ceiling glass, facing an outside balcony, which was completely private from the garden and pool area in front of us, as well as from the beach. The villa’s garden and pool area is also totally private from the beach. The staff were wonderfully present and made one feel completely at home - so much so that we struggled to leave the villa to explore!

Stayed here shortly after the place had transferred owners. The new managers are aware that the guest house needs improvement in terms of decoration and bringing up to date. The whole house and grounds were spotlessly clean and tidy, the breakfast was faultless and freshly cooked with a good range of continental options and all the staff were polite, friendly and efficient. The bedrooms and bathrooms are dated but very large and if the work is carried out as suggested by the managers then it will undoubtedly be a very fine establishment. The current room rate is overpriced when you look at how dated they are in our personal view.

My hubby and I came across this guest house whilst driving alongside the beach looking for a place to overnight whilst en route to Cape Town. I called the owner and he very graciously offered us a room at a remarkable rate. On entering this guest house we were taken aback. The place is exactly as you would see in the pictures only more beautiful. Each room has a different colour scheme, art and decor, tastefully furnished and absolutely breath taking. There is also a Presidential Suite on the upper level which is out of this world. It reminded me very much of the Red Carnation hotels, ie the Oyster Box in KZN and the Twelve Apostles in Cape Town. Having stayed at both these hotels I would rate this guest house very similar if not better. Seven stars is what should be given to this gem. The owner was helpful and invited us to sit anywhere in the house to enjoy the sea views which our room didn’t have. This place is right on the beach. My only regret is not having stayed longer. But we will definitely visit again. Do yourself a favour and stay at this gorgeous guest house when next in the Wilderness. You will be glad you did.

Slightly disappointed. The website does not tell you if you have a room with sea view, so on arrival found out that in fact i was in a back room. No provision is made for loadshedding. Just one light and no candles. The room and house is very heavily furnished for a beach house with thick carpets, Staff however were very friendly.

This Villa is an experience of a lifetime! It is indescribably beautiful and prestine. Perfectly positioned to enjoy an idyllic and rare space in the Garden Route. The luxury of the villa and the innate hospitality of the hosts and staff, combined with the stunning interior, allows you to experience the beauty and vastness of the sea and Wilderness, from literally every angle. It feels as though you are sleeping in a space of artistic genius, natural wellness and breathtaking tranquility. It is with profound confidence that I recommend business travellers, holidaymakers, honeymooners and all else to stay at Xanadu. It is truly unforgettable!! Ps. Ladies!! If you are travelling alone...you will not find a safer haven.

Deserves 6 stars! Wonderful welcome from owner Albert. Very informative for local cuisine and things to do. The Villa is boutique with each room exquisitely furnished and decorated, with full five star bathroom, coffee and tea with fridge. Hotel Dstv package and large flatscreen. The scrumptious breakfast served efficiently (and safely following the COVID rules to the book). Will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks to Albert and Tercia (very talented artist) and all support staff.

This guest house is a real gem with beautiful sea views from almost every area in the guesthouse. The rooms are huge and we loved the extra length king size bed, the bathroom has a bath, shower and double basins just to add to the extra luxury. The hosts Albert & Tersia made us feel so special and we can recommend Xanadu to everybody that wants to visit Wilderness in the Western Cape.

Absolutely enjoyed the most idyllic week at Xanadu this past January. There is absolutely nothing to fault. The hosts Albert and Tersia are welcoming and friendly. The entire team is so professional and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious. And most importantly, the location means that your entire stay, even if you do not leave the premises for the entire time you're there, is absolutely magical. It's right on the most beautiful beach and we stayed in the Neptune suite with the most spectacular ocean view. Highly and wholeheartedly recommend Xanadu. Cant wait to be back!
