The guesthouse is in a great location with easy access to the beach via a private walkway. Loved the service and breakfast, great value for money. Will definitely recommend it to anyone travelling along the Garden Route.

Dolphin Dunes Guesthouse is exceptional in every way, totally exceeded our expectations, highly recommended. We stopped for one night on our way to the Addo National Park, a much needed rest after many hours on the road. Huge rooms and super comfortable beds with every possible amenity: free WiFi, cable/satellite TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, personal items such as hair dryer, shampoo, towels, etc. The views are spectacular, the beach is just amazing, breakfast was copious (made and served with care), Lettie is a darling.

We loved staying at Dolphin Dunes we stayed for 4 nights. We had a sea view room and what an amazing view from our room and balcony and at night we watched the Milky Way from our balcony and could see the white crest of the waves quite breathtaking actually. The management were very helpful and informative and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were so filling you only need another meal in the evening. The service in our rooms and at breakfast was first class. There were lovely restaurants in Wilderness Village with a lovely atmosphere of a seaside/surfing resort. We are returning to SA in two years time and this is the only accommodation we would return to.

We have the most magnificent stay at Dolphin Dunes Guest House for our Honeymoon.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation was 5 star. It was way more than we expected. Every day the unit was cleaned, and clean towels placed in the bathroom and the dishes were washed as well. :-)

The breakfast each morning was to die for. We were very spoiled every morning with such a scrumptious breakfast.

We will most definitely be going back there every time we are down in the Wildernis.

From the moment I was received to the moment I left, I felt extremely special. The room was beautiful and enjoyed having the coffee maker and wifi during loadshedding. The views are stunning of the Wilderness Beach. Breakfast was so tasty and the extra touch of having something ironed stole my heart. Hope to have more special moments at this beautiful establishment

We stayed at Dolphin Dunes from Monday 25 January to Friday 29 January, and it was an absolute pleasure staying there. Due to a cancellation, we were upgraded to a sea facing room, and the view was stunning. The lodge is in a secluded cul-de-sac, but only two kilometres from the shops.

The manager of the guest house, Lettie, is a wonderful, attentive host, and made us feel welcome right from the get go! She was always there to greet us with a smile when we came down for breakfast each morning, and she was available all day, should we have needed her assistance, which we did not.

The room was fantastic, with a huge, comfortable bed, a TV with DSTV, a fridge, as well as coffee making facilities. It was very clean, and was serviced each morning.

There is a communal dining room for breakfast and we had a different breakfast each morning which was prepared by the very friendly ladies on duty each day, and which was always very enjoyable.

There is a walkway down to the secluded beach below the guest house, and even though the beaches were officially closed when we were there, we still sneaked in a lovely walk on the pristine Wilderness beach each evening around 7.30pm.

I cannot recommend Dolphin Dunes enough, the whole experience was absolutely top notch.

This was a home away from home. We enjoyed our 4 day stay the rooms are spacious, the walk to the beach is well marked and there's a nice bench that was the most beautiful view if the wildernes beach and surrounding area. The garden and pool area is tranquil and every night we had a peaceful rest. Thanks to the comfortable beds and clean linen

If you like clean and well decorated accommodation this is the place to stay. Friendly staff and owners with well prepared breakfast. Rooms have a beautiful sea view. The are are stairs inside the house so take this in consideration when booking. The DSTV is selected channels only, and the free Wifi excellent and had no problems connecting.

Our second visit to this wonderful place. The view is spectacular with a wide lens view of the Wilderness beach and the sound of the crashing waves. The accommodation is first class with a huge bath and 2 balconies. We were treated to a sumptuous breakfast with orange juice, fruit and yoghurt, eggs, bacon and coffee served by Lettie and her friendly staff. Thank you Lettie for being such a great host.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions since 2019. Lettie and the staff are great. Last year we suggested a microwave for guests to use after hours and she moved the microwave from the kitchen to the breakfast area permanently so that it can be used by all guests at any time and it is still there. I visited again this past weekend in Nov 2020 and was a bit disappointed that you no longer have the breakfast menu. Breakfast at your guesthouse was/is one of the highlights of the stay for most people including us, except for the one nincompoop who I see complained about it. (He/she has a problem with life in general if you check other reviews so don't worry too much about that.) Please bring back the breakfast menu. Also, I think the new lady who assists guests with breakfast orders doesn't understand English so well. Other than that, it is still my favourite place to stay in Wilderness.
