Almost halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the internationally renowned Garden Route and nestled between mountains and golden beaches, you will find one of South Africa's most favoured holiday destinations, the seaside village of Wilderness. Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined guest house overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, in the heart of the scenic village of Wilderness. Step out of the front door and cross the road onto the boardwalk for an easy and safe stroll to beaches, restaurants and village shops. Relax in the spacious guest lounge or reading lounge, with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon. Wilderness Manor is luxuriously decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectables which contribute to a refined and stylish ambience. Retire to the serenity of four stylish en-suite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious lagoon facing rooms on the second floor with superb views of the lagoon and one standard garden room on the ground floor with a private garden / patio. Look forward to our Continental buffet and English breakfast served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed... Whether you are passionate about water sports, hiking, extreme adventure or animal encounters, the Garden Route and Klein Karoo has something for you. CHILD POLICY: Wilderness Manor is not suitable for infants and children younger than 12 years of age.

Loved every minute of our stay at wilderness manor, Gerald and JD are the perfect hosts they ensure you will get the most out of your visit to wilderness helping with suggestions of trips to do, places to eat etc The room was spotless and staff had refreshed the room after we finished our breakfast and again in the evening when we returned from dinner. The location of the guest house is in a nice quiet location and safe to walk to and from the town, nice board walk across from the house. Felt like we were staying with friends, would not hesitate to book this guest house.

Myself and my partner had a fantastic stay with Gerald and JD at Wilderness Manor Guest House. The room was very spacious with amazing views overlooking the ocean and mountains and the entire guest house was spotlessly clean with a very homely vibe. The hosts provided us with tonnes of information on local amenities and restaurants and really went above and beyond in the service that they provided. We also got a really tasty breakfast each morning made with really fresh ingredients. The guest house itself is also a handy 15min walk from the local shops and restaurants which is very convenient. We would highly recommend this guest house to anyone!

Manor House is a beautifully designed guesthouse with excellent views that bring breathtaking nature into your room and all the other lounge and breakfast spaces. We had a comfortable, luxurious and very enjoyable experience. The first-class service and extra help also stood out. Dont hesitate to book if you are a discerning traveler looking for a quality experience in tasteful surroundings. It’s also located close to the village so you can walk everywhere.

Our hosts were ready to meet us upon arrival and immediately extended a warm welcome. We were taken around the significant property and shown to our beautiful suite which comprised a lot more than we expected. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished in a contemporary style. It was spotless and I am difficult to please. The beds were comfortable and the crisp ironed white linen was a delight. There is a delightful walk along the boardwalk which is on the nearby picturesque lagoon.Breakfast was extravagant and the hosts could not have done more to please us.

Gerald and JD are excellent hosts—welcoming, helpful, gracious and friendly. They made our first stay in Wilderness enjoyable with their tips on where to eat and on activities to try.

The guest house is opposite the lagoon, and within walking distance of all amenities, including the beach. The sunset from their balcony was spectacular.

The room and bathroom are spacious, have everything you need as a "home away from home", offers wi-fi and tranquility. The breakfast is plentiful, the coffee delicious, and the hosts go out of their way to ensure guests are happy. Not even loadshedding can dampen their spirit to please.

We'll happily make a return visit.

Our stay at Wilderness Manor was wonderful and I give the experience 5 stars. From the moment we arrived, JD was at the door to welcome and greet us upon arrival with a smile! We immediately felt at home.
Wilderness Manor is located on the mountain side facing the Wilderness Lagoon. 15-20 minutes walk from Wilderness Village center, past the common and Kingfisher trail.
The service is impeccable, Gerald and JD could not do enough for us to make us feel more welcome and valued as guests. They are both completely knowledgeable about the area and gave us wonderful recommendations on how to spend our time, either dining or sightseeing. The room was luxurious and incredibly comfortable, a true 5 star rating. Breakfast was scrumptious with JD and Gerald on hand to cater to any dietary requirements or preferences. Wilderness Manor is elegant, tasteful tranquil and a truly magical experience for adults wanting a refined, classy and classic experience. South Africa experiences power outages everyday due to load-shedding, and the area does face water shortages. Check with Wilderness Manor how this may impact your expectations. We cannot recommend Wilderness Manor more highly. We arrived as guests, and left as friends. Thank you Gerald and JD for making our 3 days a truly magical time. All the best, Ari and Tracy.

The hospitality and attention to detail from Gerald and JD was exceptional and made us feel very valued and right at home from beginning to end. The effort that they made from the room setup to breakfast was a five star experience indeed. The room was neat and tidy, spacious and we enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee on the balcony overlooking the lagoon. The breakfast was prepared and served with loads of love, attention to detail and of the highest quality. They definitely have a passion for what they do and they will see us again without a doubt!!! Thank you for making out stay at Wilderness Manor Guest House a special and memorable one. From Jacques & Jacqueline

From the moment you enter Wilderness Manor Guest House, it is easy to believe that you are an appreciated and loved member of a royal family. Gerald and JD's lovely house is grand and pristine in every minute little detail, and you are received as royalty. The rooms and bathrooms are grandiose, the view magnificent, but the overall and lasting impression is that of a friendly and warm embrace.
Breakfast is a feast, with personal attendance by our charming hosts.
There is only one place to be if you stay in Wilderness - at Wilderness Manor.

We arrived early at the Wilderness Manor and we were greeting by Gerald and JD. they were both charming and as our room was not ready yet they suggested d were to go and how to get there. When we returned, our room was ready. It was spotless and very well equipped. We had a room overlooking the lagoon and it was beautiful, especially as we were able to see the sunset from our balcony. Also they lent us some beach towels and chairs for our day out. We can not recommend Wilderness Manormhigh enough.,

Our stay with Gerald and JD was great. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a drink and immediately had a nice conversation. Gerald and JD are focused on making their guests feel as comfortable as possible. They provide a delicious breakfast with good coffee. If desired, they can give advice on trips and places to eat. The rooms are spacious, airy and immaculately clean. In the evening you can sit comfortably in the spacious living room with lots of reading material. All in all, a top place to stay for a few days.
