We stayed in this high-end bed and breakfast lodge for six nights in March 2024. It is very well located in Wilderness and remarkably quiet and private for such a central location, only five minutes’ walk from the main concentration of restaurants and a convenient Spar supermarket.

We had booked a superior suite (Room 6) which was a lovely first floor room with two balconies, light and airy and with ample room to sit and relax in your own space. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large and quite well appointed, although the shower cabinet in particular was old-fashioned and the water pressure was a bit erratic in the mornings. The one drawback was limited space for clothes, with a lack of good wardrobe hanging space in particular, and a resulting need to distribute clothes all round, into other cupboards in the bathroom and beside the beds.

The communal areas were spacious and comfortable, with two separate sitting areas of different style, and a well stocked honesty bar, with very reasonable charges. The large dining area was both inside and outside beside the small swimming pool, where a couple of colourful local Loerie birds were accustomed to come for a daily feed of banana pieces, at breakfast time.

The breakfast was good quality and nicely cooked, although the supporting cold buffet items did not vary much and this became a little monotonous.

The staff were universally friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. All in all we had a good and comfortable stay, and were very happy. Whilst this establishment is at the higher end of bed and breakfast rates, we thought it well worthwhile, for providing spacious and good quality accommodation, which never felt crowded. We would suggest, however, that this establishment is best suited for a one - three night stay rather than longer, owing to the limited wardrobe space. However, we would probably return and would certainly recommend the Cinnamon Boutique to friends.

Dear guests I hope you are doing very well and that you enjoyed the rest of your trip in SA. Thank you for the valued review we really appreciate the feedback we get from our Guests, that way we can always make sure our Guests will have all the comforts we can offer them and maybe even better it for future guests. Just a nice idea we are busy installing a small Spa for our guests so they will be able to book a massage when they come to visit us. We will look forward to having you here again in the future! Safe travels wherever your next trip takes you! Ann & Staff

A truly exceptionally harmonious hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff! The rooms are all very spacious and stylishly furnished and we even got an upgrade to the deluxe suite with two balconies - thank you very much for that! Large bathroom, bathrobes, coffee, tea, water, wine (for a fee) all available in the room. In the lobby there are two comfortable lounges, a small gym and a great massage chair, which can definitely sweeten the day when it's raining all the time! Breakfast by the pool with a view of the garden and freshly prepared egg dishes and everything else that goes with it was great! You can reach the center in just a few minutes via a back exit and you can put all the tips you get at the hotel into practice there. We enjoyed every second of our stay at the Cinnamon Boutique GH and will definitely come back!

Excellent staff and accommodation. Rooms were large and well presented, it was a little like staying in a very very posh home/hotel. A mixture of buffet and cooked breakfast. I don't think they offer lunch/evening meal, but there are some good eating places within 5-10 min walk. There is a bar with a reasonable selection of drinks and this operates on an honesty basis. Off road parking secure parking. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place for a few nights in Wilderness.

We had a lovely stay at the Cinnamon. The staff were always very friendly, helpful and accommodating, allowing us to come back to clean up following our beach walk after we had already checked out. The room was ver spacious and the clean, overlooking the pool. We would recommend this hotel.

Ignore the drab looking entrance and the tight car parking and you will find a peaceful oasis. We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool. The fresh milk in the fidge was replenished daily as was the complimentary bottle of water per person. The Manager, Ann, and all her staff were very courteous and attentive. They recommended 3 good restaurants in the village which were easily accessed by a remote controlled gate at the rear of the property - The Girls, Pompodoro and the Blue Olive. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We had a pleasant stay at Cinnamon boutique house.
We appreciate the management’s flexibility allowing us to amend reservation dates due to unforeseen circumstances. The environment was calming with beautiful bird sounds. Cleaning was always done nice and early while we enjoyed breakfast 😊 With the Milkwood village just a 5 minute walk away, we had all amenities and restaurants nearby and it’s a walking distance to the beach.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 6 nights and would highly recommend the Cinnamon as a perfect place to stay in George.
The rooms are spacious and bright, beautifully maintained and the lobby area, dining and bar all have a lovely homely feel and vibe about it.
The owners and staff are great people and special thanks to all that looked after us so well and pointed us in the right direction for local sightseeing and restaurants etc.
Location is prime 5 mins walk to the beach after having a lazy time by the pool……All in all one of the most pleasant stays we’ve had…..And we were all Golfers.!!!!!

What a wonderful place to spend two (or more) nights in. We were driving the Garden Route and really enjoyed our stay at this top quality location. It is within walking distance of a number of restaurants in the small town of Wilderness and yet feels nicely private at the same time. We had a large, comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the pool area. A complimentary drink is provided and you can help yourself to a glass of sherry from the bar area downstairs. All staff are so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet is tasty and a cooked breakfast will be prepared to order. Safe onsite parking too. Excellent.

This boutique hotel is excellent with spacious, well-furnished, comfortable rooms. The breakfasts are really good (I recommend the French Toast) and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the local restaurants and 10 minutes walk from the superb Wilderness beach. The stay included a free welcome drink and the bar is operated on a 'trust' basis. The pool (like most in South Africa) isn't heated so we didn't use it (it being winter) but I'm sure it would be suitably refreshing in the heat of summer.

Is the guest house family friendly and if so, do you supply cribs?

Dear Guest Thank you very much for your query. Yes, we are family friendly. We do have a cot for babies as well as a feeding chair. For bigger children we usually supply a mattress if our family room is booked out. I hope you find my answer in order and we look forward to hear from you should you decide to stay with us.

Hi Pat, There are restaurants literally at the bottom of the road from the Guest House and it is absolutely safe. Literally a 2 min walk. Wilderness is a really small community with from what I seen little poverty and is integrated much more than other places in SA. Would recommend for you guys, some really nice restaurants there too. Make sure you try The Girls. Enjoy. Craig
