L'heritage was purpose built in 2009 as a luxury guesthouse by Jeremy and Bernice the owners of the retreat. With Zimbabwean roots they wanted to recreate the colonial splendor of a typical Zimbabwean Farmhouse in the tranquil and natural settings of the Garden Route. GPS : 33°58'20.57"S 22°34'35.79"E

We booked a suite for two nights my only regret is that we were not able to stay longer because of our previously planned itinerary. Berniece and Tony are the most wonderful of hosts. We had a dinner reservation that Berniece made for us. When our taxi failed to show up she had one her staff drive us and pick us up. Both of the restaurant recommendations Berniece gave us were excellent! The hotel grounds are beautiful with a magnificent view of the mountains. The rooms are spotless and exquisitely furnished.

L'Heritage is the perfect place to stay as it is positioned just a few minutes drive from Wilderness village, and set in a tranquil retreat with spectacular views of the mountains. The rooms & beds are extremely comfortable ,and there is a very nice swimming pool with sun beds. Our hosts Jeremy & Bernice are the most wonderful, friendly couple who leave you in peace and privacy to enjoy your stay. They have great staff who are very kind, dedicated and helpful. Breakfast is excellent - their mushrooms with the cooked breakfast are so tasty. Our stay for six nights was truly delightful, we just did not want to move onto our next base - THANK YOU!

A little off the beaten track, whatever you do don't follow the Sat Nav directions, after you've turned left as you pass the Hotel, do NOT take the right hand turn your Sat Nav will suggest, just go on about 25 mtrs get to the Stop sign and take the right hand fork, follow it up keep going and after about two miles you'll come to the Guest House. Bernice is a wonderful hostess, and her staff cannot do enough for you, Phiri and Tendai (guys soooo sorry if I've spelt your names incorrectly) are great. Wonderful grounds. I can't recommend it highly enough

Initially we were disappointed to be so far away from the town but once we had established that a shuttle could transport us to the local restaurants we were reassured. Our hosts were delightful, friendly and hospitable. Their recommendations for where to eat and what to do were superb. The whole setting was idyllic and we really enjoyed being in the luxurious " honeymoon suite" The outdoor pool looked clean and inviting. 2 gorgeous Labradors who faithfully followed Jeremy everywhere added to our enjoyment. Decor was tasteful. It was pleasing to see the Vettriano prints on the wall.
