A lovely family owned business. The accomodation is charming and rustic with gorgeous views of the coastline. Tom and Magda were very kind and hands on with offering anything you could possibly want. It was more like staying with family than at a hotel. Lovely homemade breakfast served every morning - your only issue will be convincing Magda that you've eaten enough!! We look forward to returning.
Needing a one-night stay-over, my wife & I booked a room with breakfast at The Tops. The booking was smooth, friendly and efficient. Payment was easy and we received a welcoming Email from Management. They also informed us that they were upgrading us to a more luxurious space. We were welcomed by Tom upon arrival and shown our beautiful "Apartment" with a view to be envied. Everything was absolutely spotless and we enjoyed all the small things that were in the bathroom and kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet. Breakfast was the best with Tom and Magda giving us their full attention and we left friends rather than clients!!
The setting is picturesque. The hosts are hospitable, friendly and very welcoming! I stayed in Robin's Nest, which has everything that I wish my own bedroom has. The best part was breakfast - good old fashioned country fare. The birds feeding on the deck was the cherry on top, especially the Knysa loeries! The Tops is wonderful!
We stayed in one of the self catering studios for 3 nights. Perfect view - “penthouse feeling”. Kitchen, wifi, tv and braai on the big balcony. Close to restaurants and shops and a 10 minutes drive to Eden adventures where we hired a canoe and also went kloofing with a guide. Tom, the owner of The Tops was very friendly and helpful. Would defenitely go there again when in Wilderness. Super!
Stayed there on a business trip room was nice and clean. Breakfast was also very nice with the big surprise of the pan cakes on a rainy morning. They also have self catering apartments and it is close to all the restaurants and local shops
What an amazing time we had during our stay at the tops for our 5 year anniversary. Breakfast was out of this world and was made extra special by the Knysna Loeries, greeting us on the deck with spectacular view. The host, hostess and kitchen staff were very welcoming and friendly. A must on your way through Wilderness.
We stayed at The Tops Guesthouse, extremely friendly, helpful staff, lovely breakfast with the Knysna Lourie visiting us for breakfast. Will definitely stay there again. The room we had, had a view of the river and the sea.
We slept there for one night. Great service. Everyone tried to make the experience wonderfull. The room was beautiful with great view. We had an amazing breakfast an really enjoyed the hospitality. Good
We selected The tops according to the good reviews i have read online and we were not disappointed. Contrary- everything was above our expectation: amazing location with great views, extremely kind host Magda and Tom, willing to help on everything. Delicious breakfast, accompany with birds, comfortable room and great Wilderness town. Would love to be back here again. We recco to any family on couple on the Garden route. Thank you again for beautiful moments❤️ Iva and family
I spent 2 nights at The Tops - and loved it. I had a spendid view of the ocean and the waves was a nice and calming constant reminder of the closeness to the ocean. Breakfast was served outside with similar views - and the birds eating of the patio was lovely. The hosts tried to accommodate/anticipate every wish and I felt really spoiled. The only ones that were more spoiled - were the birds.
