We received amazing service from Matilda. She was helpful, informative, assisted us with places to dine and sights to see. She also showed us how to feed the Louries that visit daily and they graced us with their presence , which was such a highlight for us. The Villa is incredible, with so many rooms en suite. All amenities in place for load shedding. We loved the "dungeon" for our grandchildren, so unique and cottagey... we will return with them on our next visit. The views from all rooms are magical! There was extra gas for stove and oven etc. We couldn't have asked for one thing more. We loved every minute!

We had a great stay. The view is breathtaking, the surrounding area is clean and safe. We were well received. The Villa contains everything you would need in a self catering unit and is really large enough for two families.

There are many top-class hotels and guesthouses along the Garden Route. I can't think of many that come close to the sheer luxury, comfort and unrivalled views that this property offers. The location is unbeatable, with mountain, forest and sea views for days. And because it's an upmarket home, it has little touches that few other venues can rival: your own splash pool on the balcony, your choice of coffee machines, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cherry on the top? The joy of putting out fruit for the magnificent Knysna loeries, and the numerous other birds who come to get sugar water and seed. Simply magnificent.

This was our 3rd visit to Livingstone Villas and I can without a shadow of a doubt say this is our "happy place" with views of the ocean, mountains and forest surrounding Wilderness it feels like you you are perched in a luxurious nest above the town and it truly feels like you are free. This beautiful and luxuriously furnished villa will truly be you home away from home and whether you would like to entertain, party, fill your days with adventure in the surrounding nature or just sleep and rest ...it can all be done from the comfort of this incredible residence. Can truly not wait to visit Livingstone again to extend on the numerous precious memories already made there over the past four years.

My family had a great stay at the Villa. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, individual hideaways are plenty. It is also situated in a quite and safe location. The centrality of the Wilderness made for ease of access to attractions in surrounding areas. The beach is a walk away, with the sound of the waves soothing at night. Matilda was a great host and very prompt in her responses to queries.

We regularly visit the Garden Route and Livingstone villa is our first choice of stay. We have stayed at the villa few times and it has always exceeded our epectations. The views are spectacular and the visiting loeries are breathtaking. The house is luxurious, without feeling unwelcome to my very busy boys. Mariaan and Andre make us feel extemely welcome - which is beyond the normal meet and greet. The house is luxurious and has every comfort you can think of. We love being in walking distance from the beach and at the same time - its not so close to the busyness of the town. We will continue to choose Livingston Villa as our first option on the garden route, as it feels like a home away from home

My husband, two dogs and I have just enjoyed a week at Livingstone Villa and we’re seriously impressed. The location is out of this world with the most spectacular views and the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep at night. Incredible value for money, total luxury and elegance but really comfortable as well. The two main bedrooms both have gorgeous, big en-suite bathrooms with beautiful baths in each. The shower in the master bathroom is the best shower ever! And what a treat to soak in a bubble bath with some red wine whilst listening to the waves crash on to the beach. The house is equipped with all the mod cons such as DSTV and Netflix but who needs that when you have a patio with a pool overlooking Wilderness, with its gorgeous greenness and the white sandy beach. Lovely kitchen with everything you need to cook a full roast dinner but again, we didn’t use it much as they have a large indoor braai or a Weber outside to make use of. There is another bedroom downstairs, also really tastefully done with 3 single beds and it’s own lounge and TV area plus the most gorgeous old church door giving it it’s own private access. Fully enclosed garden with regular visits from the local Knysna Loeries who come looking for their bananas daily. The garden is definitely dog friendly, the owners have very thoughtfully closed up all little gaps so little dogs can’t escape anywhere but a large dog with a propensity to climb or jump could get over the fence on one side if he so wished. The section of Wilderness beach that is dog friendly is only a 5 minute drive away and the wide open, empty stretch of beach was a definite highlight for both us and the dogs! The house being up a mountain, with such spectacular views - stairs are to be expected - our dogs had particular fun racing up and down them but for anyone mobility challenged, they would be an issue. The house was spotlessly clean and the hosts were available at all times and extremely friendly and helpful. They left us complimentary wine, tea, coffee and milk plus bananas to feed the Loeries. Without a doubt one of the best places a stayed at in the garden route area. If you looking for a nice break away with family or friends this is definitely the place to stay. I highly recommend this villa for anyone visiting this area. Marianna a gracious and knowledgable hostess, went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was just a phone call away if we needed anything around the villa. The rooms was clean and very comfortable. Nice warm bedding and fresh smell. Everything was at our vingertips. You have a nice view of the ocean and the sound of the ocean was splendid! A big plus is that the pool is also on the balcony and that is what I enjoyed the most.
