Reflections Eco Reserve was a delight to stay at, Tim and his dog were excellent hosts! The location is perfect, out of town to not worry about cars and noise but close enough to quickly pop-in to the shops if you need anything. We were surrounded by greenery (that Tim planted HIMSELF) and were housed in the coziest wooden house. Night times were nestled around the fire place. What a pleasure ti have stayed there. Thanks Tim
The lodges are beautiful and located in an amazing and quite area in Wilderness, with a stunning indoor fire and brai area outside! Tim was very helpful and kind!we look forward to coming back and stay longer!
We stayed in one of Tim and Angelique's eco chalets. This was beautiful sited with a spacious and comfortable interior equipped everything you need, a wide deck for those sundowners and a brai area. We were so well looked after. We are birders so spent time in the reserve that they have created and also went with Tim to explore further afield - particularly a spectacular trip through the Swartberg mountains. The reserve is on the shore of the Rondevlei - a wetland site rich in birdlife. We had a wonderful very happy 4 days in this splendid reserve.
Is a beautiful house with all you can need for self catering. Like the eco style living off the grid with own power and water. Only suggestion I’ll have is to have a build braai area.Good family time with no TVs around only good conversations and bord games on the deck. Just need to watch out for all the spiders.
Reflections Eco Reserve was by far the highlight of our trip in the Garden route. The experience was beyond our expectations. The sounds and smells of nature just surrounds you. It was our first Glamping experience, the tent was fitted with everything we needed for a self catering in the wild. We loved it!
The stay at Eco-Reflections was really a new experience for us and met all our expectations of wanting to get some rest. The accomodation was great and the only area needing some attention was the kitchen equipment where minor items may make the stay a little easier. Wonderful peace we got and that mattered most. Thank you Tim and Angelique
We have just returned from a five night stay at Reflections Eco reserve and it just wasnt long enough. Hosts, Tim and Angelique, have clearly drawn on their experience as game rangers and their love of nature in order to create this "off the grid" reserve which offers comfort and tranquility in natural surrounds.. The reserve offers great bird watching and Tim's guided birding trips were a highlight of the stay. The log cabins are clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was easy to spend the day without even leaving the reserve, bird watching, rambling along the nature trails or reading on the generous wrap around stoep. The reserve is also ideally situated to serve as a base from which to explore the Garden Route and all it has to offer. I would definitely recommend this reserve to anyone who enjoys nature and we hope to return in the not too distant future. …
We were 2 families who recently spent 4 nights at Reflections, in neighbouring Eco-chalets. In summary, we had a fantastic stay: the chalets are spacious, well equipped and superbly located, with wonderful scenery and plenty of space for the kids to explore and run around in. The birding (both on the property itself and surrounding areas) is also first class, including Knysna Woodpecker, Black Cuckoo, Scaly-throated Honeyguide, Brown-backed Honeybird, African Rail and Red-chested Flufftail (all on the property). Tim and Angelique really are to be commended for the massive amount of work, passion, energy and patience that would've been necessary to clear the vast tracts of pine and other aliens in order to create the haven that Reflections is. All told, we'll definitely be back! …
Our family stayed at Reflections Eco Reserve and ha such a great time. Beautiful setting in nature. Lots of birdlife and highly recommended for birders. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. Stunning place for relaxing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Reflections Eco Reserve. The tented accommodation was comfortable and well appointed. Tim Carr was a superb host and we learnt a huge amount from him during our guided birding excursions. We saw birds we would never have found on our own. We hope to be back in the not too distant future.
