As can be seen from the photo's the view from the beach facing rooms is stunning. I stayed in the room with the bath in the window. This is the largest room in the property, but all are spacious with dressing rooms and really great bathrooms. Michael, your host, will cook something special for breakfast in addition to all the usual staples of cereal, yoghurt, juice, toast etc . The property is on a quiet street, just across the road is access to the beach via steep wooden steps, and Wilderness beach and the main village is just 4Km away. Very relaxing stay. I will stay there again

Great experience. Michael was an excellent host. He is very generous in the add ons provided with the suite. The room we stayed in has stunning views of the ocean being very close to the beach. Some aspects of breakfast were different and delicious everyday adding to the fun of the holiday not knowing what to expect.

From my arrival until my departure Ibitshi felt like a piece of heaven that fell from the sky. I felt at home and comfortable with Mike and his dogs.

Breakfast was tailor made andentailed a catch-up fest of current affairs, things to do around town and all other cool things Mike is so knowledgeable about.

The beach and surrounding areas are clean and safe. The earth was green, the people friendly en die Kaap Hollands:)

My room was a treasure trove of where to go or just staying in and watching the ocean - enveloped in luxury and comfort!

Thank you Mikhael for sharing your sanctuary with me.

We stayed for 2 nights and let me just start by saying that we have never felt more welcome. Upon arrival the owner Michael, waited for us, remembered our names and everything was ready for us. The rooms are big and spectacular. We stayed with our baby and had a double room with a view on the seaside. We woke up with dolphins!
Michael is an amazing host and you can see and feel in everything that he lives for the happiness of his guests. The house itself is already beautiful and the decoration left me speechless and a bot jalous;) I wont tell you too much about the breakfast because I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but it has been SPECTACULAR..
Enjoy!

Myself and friends have just spent a wonderful night in Ibitshi being looked after by Michael, one of the friendliest most hospitable hosts you could meet. Nothing was to much trouble and I only wish we could have stayed longer.
I had one of the sea facing rooms, it was huge, with an incredibly comfortable bed and so many lovely individual touches. Everything was there for your comfort from chocolates, nuts and biscuits with your teas and coffees to the binoculars from which we saw whales and dolphins from the balcony.
Michaels breakfast was incredible and we just want to thank him again for his hospitality.

One of our favourite places we stayed at on our Garden Route travels! Everything about Michaels place is incredible! From the views right from your bed, to the proximity to the beautiful beach, to his perfect bread rolls and the friendly dogs. The only downside to our stay was that it wasn’t longer, no doubt we will be back some time in the future!

This is our second visit to the Wilderness, but this time brought the family along and decided to spoil ourselves and stay over for 10 nights at Ibitshi Guest Lodge. What an amazing holiday, we felt so spoilt with Michael and Jacqui’s hospitality with amazing breakfasts each morning, beautiful accommodation and wonderful hospitality. Michael helped us with restaurant bookings each evening which was brilliant. We enjoyed our morning walks/jog on the beach. A great location for getting out and about, we managed to visit the Knysna Elephant Park, Cango Caves, safari at Botlierskop and a drive along to Mosselbay. Thank you Michael for hosting us and making it a memorable experience, hope to be back!

Michael's Guest Lodge overlooks an extensive and stunningly beautiful beach, literally across the road from the lodge. There you can walk considerable distances, and spend time in utter peace and quiet, except for the crashing waves. A very caring host, he goes out of his way to ensure your enjoyment and contentment during your stay with him. He provides wonderfully tasty and healthy food, checking carefully on your preferences and special requirements. A spectacular place, from all points of view !

Michael is a great and eager host and very helpful. His homemade breakfast is excellent - especially the homemade bread. The view is phenomenal and the room huge and all super clean. We had the entire house for ourselves and could really enjoy our time at the Ibitshi Guest Lodge. We really would love to come back. We had a fantastic time there.
