The location is great, direct access to the beach and the accommodation is really stylish and gives a great first impression. We did enjoy our stay, however, I feel a bit more attention to detail would be good regarding the room. I expected a brighter, slightly larger space. I am sure some of the other rooms are better. Breakfast was good, but having stayed in many other hotels on our trip in South Africa, I think the breakfast offering could be slightly enhanced. We really appreciated Jay's help on arrival with our bags and also during our stay and he gave us some good tips on some additional stops on our Garden Route.

A dreamlike guesthouse with magical views of the Pacific Ocean. We even saw dolphins there. The team is super nice and helpful, breakfast with fresh fruit, egg dishes of any kind. Nepresso machine in the room. Everything clean and tidy. Too bad that the fridge was empty, so you had to bring drinks from the savings market, almost on foot. A wooden staircase leads directly to the stand. Lots of great restaurant in the immediate vicinity.

We stayed here for two nights and what a wonderful location on the beach with top quality accommodation . 5 mins drive to the quaint village of Wilderness . The quality of the staff, food, and views is outstanding. Open kitchen with customised breakfast menu made for a nice change from the standard breakfast menu. Basically say what you want and it gets cooked for you . Jay was an excellent host, helpful and friendly but not intrusive . Really enjoyed our stay, one thing I did raise is the pool and decking have no sun shade/ umbrella which was a challenge as we needed a down day by the pool. Jay was helpful, explained the wind makes it difficult to maintain shades which I understand but I’m confident he will find a solution. Treat yourself and stay here

We know Wilderness well, it s one of my fav places! This guest house is located right on the beach with direct access. The rooms are small and adequate but have the most annoying light switches in the world!!! The wardrobe is really hard to open without breaking your nails and the TV stops the door opening properly! But it has access to a terrace next to the pool which is nice!
We had plenty of towels and hot water during our stay. Breakfast was very nice especially when it didn't coincide with loadshedding. The views from breakfast are spectacular.
The manager, Alex, was surely and uncommunicative. No one helped us with our bags when we left despite 2 long flights of stairs, and my husband has a heart problem. Alex never really spoke to us our entire 4 day stay! Never gave any help or advice of where to eat or go..in SA we are used to the managers being so helpful that his attitude really marred our stay.
It's a stunning location and the property is nice. I imagine the higher rooms are better, making use of the view. I was very disappointed with our room but we did have lovely weather!

Location perfect and house magnificent. Room was excellent with great views of the beach, very clean and great linen; bathroom was also excellent. Beach superb and breakfast looking over the beach was amazing. All staff were excellent, but have to make a special mention to Yana. She was the perfect host, always available and gave great recommendations for trips and especially restaurants. If in Wilderness again, would not stay anywhere else.

Alex and Yana are the worlds best hosts. They always try and make my say here as pleasant as possible. My room had the most beautiful view of the ocean and I felt like a queen staying in this guest house. I can recommend this place to anyone with a smile.

We had booked the room with a sea view and a bathtub with a sea view. We were then supposed to stay in the apartment, which we didn't like. But we got the room we had booked straight away. The guest house exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was freshly prepared in front of us. A stay is highly recommended. Very good value for money. Parking on the street in front of the house, though. Saw dolphins from bed in the morning and later at breakfast even saw whales.

The situation of the guesthouse is perfect! We enjoyed breakfast with dolphins in the sea in front of us. The direct beach acces is perfect, as well as the breakfast. The room was good but showed some tear and we missed a small fridge on the room. There was a nice balcony with seats but in the room not a single chair. The lady from the reception was perfect, very informative, helpful and taking good care of the guests. We had a very nice stay all in all!

Whilst I cannot argue that the position and style (getting a bit dated in places) is excellent, I would say that the customer services side of things need looked after.
We arrived at 14.00 to find that no electricity would be on until 21.00 that night, having confirm the reservation with a credit card we were not offered to not check in and try somewhere else.
We the struggled heavy suitcases down two flights of stairs without any help to our quickly darking room.
We decided to go out for a meal and return at 21.00 to watch some TV and catch up with emails only to find the place in complete darkness and a few lite candels on the stairs to guide the way to our completely dark room.
The owner did ot seem to make any provision for lighting the rooms by the way of candels or other forms of lighting (broke a very expensive glass jug that we had been given due to tripping over it during the night).
Come morning we found that electricity had returned at 3.00 just in time to have our first luke warm shower, one would have thought that in lieu of all of this upset one would have been offered some discount....but no life went on even charging for a bottle of beer I had earlier in the evening.
Whilst I do not expect the owner to magically get some electricity I feel that there was a complete lack of customer care and would suggest that you look instead to Villaafrikana in Knysna a short distance away with superb rooms, views and owners.

Dear unknown guest, After receving your negative report re service I discussed your mentioned facts with my 2 personal staff. Nor them or me recognise or remember the facts re luggage doing yourself (2 stairs down) and your need for information, that one of us would tell you: reed your info book in the room. We operate daily just the opposite of what write in your review. Hope you can read German and Italian guest reviews, so that you can reed what I mean. We are a helpfull team and we will stay that way. We are sorry, that we did not forfill your needs during your stay. Kind regards Harm TH. Dijkstra
