We spent a night at Phoenix Guest House and were thoroughly spoilt by Peter’s warm hospitality. The breakfast he prepared for us was exceptional, and our room was spectacular. Even the shy Knysna Loerie feels at home there as Peter prepared a meal of fruit for them and they flew in for a visit. I have used lots of superlatives but I cannot describe this stunning guest house without using them.

Thank you Peter for your hospitality and your big heart which made our stay with you in your beautiful house a pure delight! Me and Joachim have traveled all over the world and never experienced anything like it before. We started the new year of 2017 together with you and your friends and the memory of that evening and every other evening looking down from the mountainside will stay with us forever. Hopefully we´ll meet both you and Linda again. And remember Peter that every moment counts!!!! Lots of love from Mariana and Joachim

Wonderful room, looking over the Wilderness, fantastic facilities in the room. Husband enjoyed the bath, with views. Amazing glass staircase, and interior features. As for Peter, what a wonderful host, cooking the best English breakfast especially for my husband the 'Big FB' breakfast. Organising taxi's for us, and making dinner reservations. Hope to return next year.

Thank you both for the kind words. It was really great to have you stay and chatting to you about 'my neck of the woods'. It bought back so many memories as I have not thought about that part of the UK in many years. I am also excited for you both with the new venture and redecorating your new house on the island. Wow, what a position and I feel sure that you are just going to love it. Good luck with it all....wish I was there to help!!! Best regards, and I hope we meet again sometime, Peter

We stayed in the best room in the house - the white room. It had everything you could ask for and more, with to die for views of the lagoon, beach and sea. Peter was an excellent and generous host and it was like being a house guest at a friend's house. Nothing was too much trouble for Peter and we felt welcome at all times. Breakfast was delicious and everything was beautifully presented. We can't recommend Phoenix Guest House highly enough.

It was an absolute delight to meet you both and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with me. Good luck with your house hunting, I hope you find a wonderful place very soon. All good things, Peter

This place is just amazing: not only the very stylish, yet comfy house, that Peter shares with his guests (but you have privacy all the time!), but Peter makes it all: outstanding hospitality, gourmet breakfast are only parts of a just perfect stay there, thanks again!
