The Old Trading Post is situated within such a beautiful part of Wilderness. Was immediately blown away by the view I had (both of the stars and the landscape the following morning) from my elevated balcony. Loved the rustic, open and cosy style of the accommodation and wished I could’ve stayed longer. Would definitely come back again!

Thanks Alex for your review, you were the first to experience the new tent at The Nest! We are glad you enjoyed it so much. Future guests must know that to enjoy The Nest they have to walk a bit and climb some steps to get from the parking to the accommodation.

Thank you to Mike & Rene Raubenheimer for their kind hospitality. It was a an added bonus to chat over a delicious breakfast and learn about the history of the area. The room was cozy and clean and our furry family felt most welcome We shall certainly come again and most definitely recommend The Old Trading Post to our friends and family.

We chose to stay here because my husband had been before - years ago and loved it. It was lovely and quiet with lots of bird songs. It was great to get away from the traffic and urban setting. The Stralitzia cottage we stayed in was very spacious and tastefully appointed with all the amenities needed. We had a very comfortable and pleasant night there and enjoyed being able to go to the beach close by after we arrived and again in the morning. Had a wonderful swim in the warm sea too. We'd highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place we found at The Old Trading Post. To top it off they make the most delicious pizzas. We were able to explore the Garden Route as well as the Karoo. Our Hosts Rene & Mike were amazing. Our highlight was being able to have our fur babies with us to experience this awesome weekend away. For those who are scared of camping, this glamping experience is well worth the try, the neat site, undercover kitchen, spare bedroom tent on site, beautiful wooden deck with comfy chairs with an awesome boma and a stunning outdoor bathroom, with outdoor shower was also my highlight. The birdlife in the area just added to our amazing experience. We hope to be back one day again.

A beautiful peaceful location. The property had real potential but was in need of tlc to make it comfortable. Swimming pool was tiny and not very clean. The rooms had charm but needed a general tidy up and smarten
