Serendipity offers a tranquil beautiful place directly at the river with lush garden. The service is personal and everything is done to make the stay most comfortable. The owner Elsabe pays attention to every detail to ensure a memorable stay. The restaurant is an experience for itself and offers nouvelle cuisine at its best.

Lovely guest house, "perfect food" What more could you want, do yourself a favor and stay there, you won't be disappointed Supper is an experience not to be missed, Liselle the talented Chef and husband Rudolf are both hands on and very informative and make your dining experience something to remember. To top it all the breakfast was divine.

The name Serendipity is not unfamiliar in the Garden Route. Our expectations was exceeded and had an amazing stay, dinner and breakfast. Our host Elsabe made us feel at home and was very efficient from making the booking to checking us out. The room was fantastic with a balcony and a beautiful river view. Comfortable bed and the attention to fine detail shows that Serendipity values their guests. This is the best place for a breakaway with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Rudolf and Lizette and the staff from the restaurant treated us to a splendid dinner. Care and passion was apparent in every dish. Explosions of flavour made every course of the dinner special. This is an experience that you definitely should not miss. Thankfully you are close by and we will be seeing you in future.

We really enjoyed our night here. We were warmly welcomed and settled into our comfy room. The property is on the river and we were able to kayak before breakfast which was lovely. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious and the highlight of the stay.

Lovely place to stay. After driving for several hours from Addo Elephant Park it was wonderful to arrive in this little piece of paradise in the early afternoon. It's tucked away on a very private street next to the river, seemingly far from the bustle of nearby N2, and the busy-ness of the local town. We were made to feel very welcome, and it is a place to relax, with a lovely library and beautiful deck. The home is gorgeously graced with protea and other plants. We did explore the local town, which was charming. We used one of the available canoes for a sunset float on the river which was very peaceful. We did hike the Kingfisher trail, which was enjoyable. And we loved dinner, and breakfast, which were both amazing. Room was very comfortable, a lovely stay all around. Would very much recommend for couples.

We had 6 lovely nights with Elsabie at Serendipity. The guest house is beautifully located on the river bank and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The shared balcony has plenty of space and with comfortable seating. The breakfasts were lovely and varied and nothing was too much bother for our hosts. We had an amazing 6 course dining experience with the highly talented Lizelle - this is highly recommended.

We stayed in the Serendipity for 3 nights. we really enjoyed our stay, the rooms are perfect, you have there anything you need. the balcony is amazing for some relaxed time. We tried the dinner one evening, which was amazing, the daughter of the owner makes the food, and everything was stunning. Elsabe is a perfect host, she took care of anything we need, like laundry for example. You must try Elsabe's pancakes at breakfast, its amazing. we will definitely come back!
