Detailed Reviews
I am not going to write a long review but please believe me when I say that this place is a real gem, especially if you want a quiet peaceful breakaway with beautiful scenery. And even better if you are a keen fly fisherman. The place is surreal and the facilities immaculate.

Landscape is breathtaking. The unit had everything we needed and beautifully decorated. Plenty of wood supplied for the fireplace. Comfortable beds. Beautiful views from the unit and braai area. Very friendly hosts.

If you want to reset, hear yourself think and have no distraction, no noise and beautiful scenery and very comfortable accommodation then this is the place. The quietness will make you feel like something is wrong but very right.

A beautiful getaway in the Drakensberg mountains. Very serene, gorgeous spot. We loved our homemade bread delivered on the second day! We hope to come back one day (and catch some bigger fish). Thank you for having us.

Our stay was most pleasant in this quaint and quiet surrounding and where our thoughts were introvertedly questioning our being! An absolutely great place to relax, rest and regain our energies. We were well received by the host and the cottage was ample and well equipped for a peaceful and restful stay within the mountains. The trials were exciting and the scenery magnifique!

Heavenly, in an ideal part of South Africa and highly recommended. Liked it immensely. The location and the most peaceful surroundings are truly fantastic. What a great fireplace, especially clean-burning and smoke-free.

We had the most amazing 4 days at the Lakeside unit - with Hiking, Mountain Biking, Fly Fishing and Trail walks/runs our days were filled with the perfect combination of relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the Southern Berg. The wildlife is amazing and birds of prey spectacular! From Cape Vultures circling whilst hiking to Eland and Crowned Cranes being spotted on out MTB ride, we were truly spoilt with phenomenal surrounds and sightings!

Hi,
Spring is always a good time of year for hiking as the thunder storms haven't yet started and the cold of winter has passed. There are 'veld burns' every winter around this time of year. Autumn is also always a great time for hiking.
