Detailed Reviews
The location is simply the best, peaceful and quiet. The setting is surreal. The accommodation is superb. If you want a comfy bed, the finest linen, and well-appointed facilities. This is our "go-to place! We so enjoyed the warm herb bread and trout pate that was delivered to us on arrival. Such a spoil! Thank you so much.

We loved every minute of our stay at Giants Cup Wilderness Reserve. Tash upgraded us to stay at Duckbay Lodge, which is on the edge of the lake.
Birdspotting was incredible, the walks were great, views unbeatable.
Trout pate with yummy homebred bread was a treat. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Its difficult to pin point the highlights of our stay. The scenery was breath taking, the cottage was beautiful. Jack gives an excellent educational talk about trout and the hatchery. Tash spoilt us with trout pate and home made bread. The workers on the farm are friendly and kept our cottage spotless. In an unsafe world, it is such a relief to stay in a place that is so safe. The restsurants we were referred to were of the best quality. 10 days of soul searching and total relaxation. We were even blessed with snow on the Lesotho mountains! A holiday to remember, and a destination we will certainly return to.

My stay with Natasha at giants cup reminded me hust how beautiful and tranquil that part of the country is. My famiky and friends all enjoyed their stay which was cupped off by a gentle hike to a nearby stream. I will certainly be back! I can only imagine how beautiful this spot is in mid-winter. Thank you for your incredible service, Natasha.

Stunning setting surrounded by the beautiful southern Drakensberg with a dam on your doorstep. We stayed in Otter Cove unit which is a gorgeous unit with everything you need. Tash is most helpful with directions for walks and hikes and we look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful service, in a phenomenal setting. We stayed in a lovely secluded cottage, that had everything we needed. The staff are so friendly, and the freshly baked bread they delivered to us was an unexpected treat! Gorgeous views and utter relaxation in the midst of nature. Plenty of photo opportunities for the camera enthusiast, and beautiful walking trails. Herds of eland ambling along in the distance, and to experience that magical call of the jackal at the end of the day was the highlight of an incredible stay. Will definitely be back!! Would certainly recommend it to anyone.

We had the most perfect 3 days in the reserve and were able to completely relax amongst the incredible views either from our bedroom or outside the lodge. This trio provided the perfect opportunity for both hiking and relaxing. We also enjoyed a row on the lake and a lovely picturesque picnic in the jetty. Cannot recommend the reserve enough.

We stayed at the Otter Lodge. The accommodation was spotlessly clean throughout. The view from our cottage was simply stunning and so so peaceful. The views of water and mountains directly in front of the property are to die for. A visit to the Trout Hatchery with Wolf was one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommended.

This is a really beautiful place with relaxing, comfortable accommodation and epic fishing. The bird life is also something that really stood out for me. The fresh bread and trout pate is incredible and I highly recommend. This is what I call a holiday in the mountains. I look forward to returning to this special place.

Hi,
Spring is always a good time of year for hiking as the thunder storms haven't yet started and the cold of winter has passed. There are 'veld burns' every winter around this time of year. Autumn is also always a great time for hiking.
