The hosts are lovely and the staff is very helpful, accomodating and kind. They also ensured to clean up each day but the cottage is in dire need of a renovation. There's a strong stuffy smell and you will have to have the AC turned on all the time to mask it. The kitchen cupboards are old and damaged. Shower tiles are cracked/chipped and the water gets really hot and suddenly cold. Very dangerous for kids! There's little to no ventilation in the bathroom.

When you do a booking on line and while you are on your way, then they call you and tell you they have booked your room to someone else. Umhalanga had no other accommodation and ended up paying double for another place. Will never stay there.

Not 4 star like advertised - very sun standard like university digs or worse - lots of noise and beer bottles every where and no proper parking - host doesn’t give a damn as she had already taken her money so she wasn’t bothered by our distress

Me and my family (2 adults and 2 small kids) stayed two nights. Service was amazing - the staff was friendly and awesome with the kids. The room was tidy and clean and had a great view. It was an overall good stay.

I paid but the transaction couldn’t go through with which never knew. This owner of the said bnb acted like I am a thief. She didn’t allow my guest to even explain to her and was using racism chants at them. I had to drive about 50km to and from to go sort that out. I even told her I want do eft yet she refused.

I would not stay in this place if you paid me to. The pics on the website is totally deceiving. The owner has a personality of an ogre. When I read the other reviews I am totally blown away. This is nothing but a backpackers in suburban setting. The only thing that counts is where it is situated. We were a party of 8 and if we wanted to share personal such as bedrooms with others that would have been okay. On arrival we witnessed a lady of the night leaving the premises, obviously concluded her business from the night before. The owner hardly speaks English, her father is the most unfriendly person. Big posters for food and drinks, surprise they had none!! The place is mouldy and dirty. Broken aircons, tv, the bedding and curtains were stained. Booked out same day and got major attitude. Still NO REFUND. Biggest rip off ever. Steer clear if you are a person who believes in cleanliness, friendly and efficient staff.…

I was booked in with a friend and after seeing our room I actually booked a flight to leave early. My friend stayed one night and then left without a refund for the rest of her stay. The stairs are awful, the room and bathroom dirty and everything is outdated and in bad shape. Pity because the location is good.

My kids enjoyed the experience. The pool was clean, breakfast was awesome and the rooms were very clean. The staff and owner are friendly Located close to the beach which the kids liked Also located conveniently close to amenities

We had to cut our trip short by a day but Ingrid was very accommodating and understanding. Many thanks for that. Staff were very attentive and friendly, even though it was a short stay. The venue was easy to find and well maintained.
