Detailed Reviews
Honey Pot was the perfect place for our1 night stay over. The room was clean, beds comfy and had everything we needed including aircon and wi-fi. The hub of Umhlanga restaurants and shops was a 5 minute walk across tuner road which was convenient. The pool area so pretty with a lovely little honesty bar. Breakfast was so delicious (and plenty of it) and the hosts were delightful. We will be back :)

Just returned home after a week in Durban stayed at the Honey Pot Guest House.
Super little Guest house run by Bob and Heather. They were great hosts and the guesthouse was a short walk into the centre of Umhlanga Rocks town and the beach. Hoping to return to escape the cold weather.

I had the pleausure of staying at the HoneyPot which I was in Umhlanga for Work. I was out the entire day and HoneyPot was just my place to sleep. Bob is the best host! He is such a kind soul and saw my early mornings and my late nights so proceeded to make my stay enjoyable non the less, Thank you so much Bob for my packed breakfasts that you had made everyday and put in my room so that i had something to eat before I left. And thank you to your amazing staff for cleaning my room so well that when i Came home late it was so nice to climb into a warm made up bed.
Thank you for Having me! I would definitely visit again :)

Pleasant environment, wonderful friendly service from all staff. Was a pleasure to stay here. Bob was awesome, place is nice and quiet, allowing you to get on with work if need be. Breakfast is served according to your like, don't expect too much of variety.

I have used the HoneyPot as my base and home away from home in Umhlanga for many years and recommend it unreservedly. Just minutes away from everyone's offices, and a short hop down to the village and the promenade. Bob and Heather and the staff give you warm and personal attention. I seldom leave without reminding myself that I would really like to visit on a trip that isn't work-related, so that I can enjoy the pure relaxation possibilities!

We have been in Durban for a compromise, my wife wanted to walk in the Drakensberge, me not, so we made a nice tour by car to the Ukhahlamba-Drakensberg Park UNESCO. Durban itself we only know from Umhlanga part, we were close to the sea and lighthouse with a long promenade, for me totally boring and unintersting; my wife had a little walk, I sat at the beach side cafe, nothing for adventurers. Much more interesting was the nearby Big Fish Restaurant with very good food. The english couple were very nice and talkative, we loved them, the room was very well equiped, air con, fan, fridge, good WiFi, whatever you need. The parking place was a little small but only because one cowboy with a truck-sized „car“ needed all space, this guy would have fun to park in Munich.

I am so glad I found HoneyPot Guesthouse!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was huge and very clean. I was alone but I felt so safe.
I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be going back, there was I wasn't bothered unnecessarily but when I needed help with something someone was there to assist. Thank you HoneyPot!
