Rooms were not cleaned. Dirty towels left behind by past guests. Broken plug points and plumbing. When asked to change room they said they did not have availability of rooms Extremely rude staff. Absolut worst experience I have ever had. Would never recommend this hotel

This hotel makes Fawlty Towers look super efficient. Service terrible. Staff unhelpful and clueless. "Indoor pool" is a green fish pond. Spa is closed. Eventhough no mention is made of this on the web. They accepted a booking for 1 adult and 2 children in a room with a double bed and twin beds. When they checked in they were given a room with a double bed only. No help offered. Take it or leave it. No management available to assist. So the guests left and checked into the Protea Hotel. Refused any refund. Whilst waiting in reception 3 guests complained that the rooms they booked were not what they received. Seems there is a serious problem with misrepresentation. Do not book into this hotel.

First thing I loved about the apartments was it's proximity to an array of restaurants.😍 The pool & gym make you feel like you are home away from home.😛 Was quite disappointed by the bunny chow I had though😩 The apartment was quite clean and cosy😊⭐⭐⭐

The room was not cleaned proper, the size was a hot smaller, overall the experience was great, customer service was the best. However cleaning needs serious attention as on my day two, I picked even linen was not up to standard.

Apartment living meets hotel. Good to have self-catering options coupled with hotel amenities, especially ahead of a marathon where home comforts and routine is welcomed. Our request for a late check out after the marathon was permitted and the team was very understanding of our individual needs.

Booked at Urban Hotel on a friday and was looking forward to having a bunny chow as I know durban makes the best. Upon booking at the hotel and exploring the building, we found a restaurant with a bunny chow special as their friday promotion. Was really excited about that and proceeded to order. They even offered to bring it up our rooms which I though was courteous. The bunny show arrived and looked delectable to the eye. However, turned out to be one of the worst bunny chows I've had, the mutton was not tender at all and the spices weren't blended in to provide that rich curry flavour. You could still see the onions. The chicken bunny chow wasn't pleasant as well. The meat was tough and on the bone. Very strange because they used thighs and drumsticks which really provide good flavour when cooked thoroughly. This is one place I wouldn't recommend for a bunny chow, or maybe if I go on another day. The only saving grace was the service and the price.

I stayed at urban Park for 3 weeks while working in Durban. The 1st room I was in on the MZ floor, was like a dungeon with no natural light and the hotel air vent coming through my outside area. I was moved to a higher floor which was much better. The kitchens were missing most things on the list, that they claimed to provide. I had to buy a frying pan, utility knives and dishwashing sponges. The cleaners removed towels without providing fresh ones. I had to constantly ask for toilet paper. Reception dont answer the in house phone 8 out of 10 times. While everyone was friendly, I found the attention to detail and follow up lacking in every area.

Great stay indeed. Comfortable and great experience. It's a place that I would recommend to my family and friends. Love the area, it's quiet yet close to everything....the shops and the restaurants. Love the sea breeze more.

This is one of the most lovely yet reasonable hotels anyone may think off. It has all the facilities that are fully equipped, especially gym and others. We also appreciated the air conditioning and the fact that when the Loadshedding kicks on, the hotel still continues with activities. I was also shocked that the lift still operates even when electricity is gone. I was struggling with some illness and could not climb the steps and asked one of the floor guys inquiring where the staircases were expressing my frustration on how will I climb, and he said "No the lift is working", I said BUT there is load shedding he explained that it might be only during return of electricity where it might stuck shortly otherwise its working all the time which was a "WHOW". Thank you for the good services.

Positives: - Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. - The rooms are spacious Negatives The following issues identified needs improvement: - No towels were available in the room on arrival. - When towels were brought to my room it had a damp smell. - The shelf above the hand wash basin is broken. - The hand wash basin has dirt marks which did not wash off. - No toilet brush available. - Only two very flat pillows on the bed. - Air conditioning in the room was not very effective. - Air conditioning in the restaurant area was dripping onto one of the tables. - I was not made aware of where and how I could find drinking water. - When I asked to pay my dinner bill the next morning since I wanted to arrange with my travel agent to change the voucher to include dinner I was made to feel as if I am dishonest, trying to dodge payment and will try and leave without paying
