Beautiful room, great location close to night life, shopping - Gateway Shopping Centre and close to great Restuarants. Casino had a live concert that was nice to see, great live music on the Casino floor and and Spa was a great experience. The Spa has a great African feel to it. Just 8 minutes from the Airport.

At check in.... we had to carry in our own luggage to our room. The staff really need to take lessons in how to be more hospitable... and more courteous like the wonderful staff at the Boardwalk Hotel in Port Elizabeth! Rooms are spacious and very nice. Breakfast is average , service is poor and slow. But still a beautiful place to spend a weekend!

The hotel is in a state of non repair and maintenance , the lifts did not work so the elderly and handicapped had to take the stairs , there were iron burn marks in the carpet , the carpet in general was horrificaly dirty and damaged , the curtains were soiled , the sliding door locks were broken and had been replaced by a patio latch which if you shake it it pops open allowing intruders to enter the room . The public ablutions had broken soap dispensers so you cant wash your hands at all. The same applied to the resturants in the complex , in particular Aqua , the soap dispensers were broken so you cant wash hands before eating , can only wonder what kitchen workers ablutions look like if the high paying clients facilities are broken, the hotel resturant and bar are permanently closed so if you want a drink or food at the pool you have to go back to your room and order or go to the casino complex, outside furniture is broken and dangerous to sit on at the pool and outside your room .

I paid cash a week in advance for the entire stay (4 rooms, 3 at the lodge 1 luxury suite at the Hotel amounting up to just under R40 000.00 for 5 days)

I spent over an hour every day at the lodge sorting out their admin and it ended up that they over charged me not once but twice, after paying for breakfast for my guests were denied breakfast the first day. I then had to go back and once again and fight to have this rectified. My guest gets issued a card that expired the same day she got it then they refuse to issue her another one full knowing that she is staying in that room. I was called in every day to come pay for something even though on the first day they received all the POP and it was okayed with the reception desk on the first day
!!!

My family feels that we were stripped of our holiday because of the constant issues (which in the end my younger brother spent 4 hours resolving) My family and I were absolutely disgusted, and we will never make Sibaya an option for a holiday or even short break again.

I am extremely disappointed in MVG for allowing this to take place. My first holiday in 13 years with my family and this is what I had to deal with every day? I don't feel rested and instead I am happy to rather deal with my businesses issues than having to fix the administration of another company. At least I get paid for mine...

On the morning of the 13th of December we turned up at the reception of Royal Sibaya to not such a warm welcome. In fact my partner and I stood around for a couple of minutes before sitting down in front of a lady who was very busy with her paperwork and virtually ignored us until she had finished what she was doing. I told her my name, and she indignantly said: "You're not staying with me, you're staying in the Lodge."

I asked her what the difference was as I wasn't aware that there were two types of accommodation. In a slightly arrogant tone she explained that her hotel was always full of VIP guests and there was hardly ever room for anyone else. Clearly she didn't think that we fit that profile.

She called the Lodge to see if we could check in early as we got there around 11H00, which we couldn't and she suggested that we wander around until about 14H00. We spent 10 minutes walking through the hotel and decided not to stay after such a reception.

What we saw on offer in terms of restaurants filled us with dread and we didn't want to spend any more time there. The area where the restaurants and food outlets are looks run down and outdated.

We had a dreadful reception at Royal Sibaya. I wonder if this is how the lady treats everyone, or is she a little more polished when it comes to her "VIP" guests. We left without checking in.

The main reason we booked Sibaya was it's close proximity to the airport as we had a 07H30 flight back to Heathrow the following morning. We wouldn't normally even consider a 4 star, or even worse a 3 star and clearly for good reason.

I guess this kind of treatment is to be expected for such low rated establishments. Stay away from Sibaya Entertainment Kingdom!

Dealing with the operations manager at 9pm.
Room has a wet carpet that is giving off a nasty odour. Apparently the hotel is fully booked and nothing can be done to relocate us. Poor service. T.V. took 3 calls and an hour later was repaired.

Unacceptable. Carpet has a huge burn mark in the shape of an iron. It amazes me how these rooms are just given out to guests without any inspection.

Would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Sibaya Hotel is one of the greatest hotels in the area. Beautiful rooms. Suitable for family getaways as well as couples. Entertainment and games for the kids and Casino for the adults. Awesome restaurant food at the hotel and places to eat at the general eating area in the casino area. Lovely well kept and neat premises and amazing pool. Safe place with security all over the place. Beautiful quiet relaxing place to be if you need a relaxing getaway as a couple. Also great for family getaway.

A place where you are treated with respect and never short of attention. Rooms are spacious and with everything one would need to relax in comfort.
Restaurants, especially Aqua, are great.
Best soji in the world served at the Prive lounge.

Firstly, the resort complex contains the Lodge, the Hotel and the Casino. However, no signage up to indicate where these various components are. Quite a mess when arriving late at night in the rain!! The hotel is finished very luxuriously and the rate was very reasonable. However, with very few guests staying over, the huge facilities were completely bare. Service, during the check-in and the breakfast were exceptionally slow.
