What is supposed to be a stres free holiday turned into a nightmare from the food pizza coming cold to the chips being undercooked. Other people from the outside coming in and using the facilities like they paid for the stay. Having a outside people having a disco amd treating it like a night club you can't even open your windows and night to hear the ocean and feel the tranquility of the beach as all you her is rave disco music. The rooms do not have all the necessities they once gave their guests. Less toilet paper, no body wash less tissue paper. A hotel should meet the needs of their guests that is why you go there . The lawn is unkept. We are regulars but this stay finally made our decision to go to their opposition Cuty Sark premier as guaranteed your needs will be met. The staff here at Blue marlin "new" staff make like you are a pesent, rude and intiteled and you must wait untill your room is ready after the time you are allowed in your room. Never waist your money as you will be paying for everyone else from the outside to enjoy at your expense. Oh and font worry to do dinner bed and breakfast or Bed and breakfast just bring your own food as either outside people or guests did, ordering from Spur and eating on the verandah as you trying to eat the meal that you ordered that was wrong when brought to you. We will never come here again do not be a fool go else where they have lost one guest and more will follow suit. Rather call this hotel Nightmare Disco Fiesta Hotel. The final straw opening your at 2.00 am after you have been confined to your room like a prisioner trying too hear a bit of the ocean and smell the beach air you hear people still enjoying the facilities you paid for and taking at the top of their voices. Our second time at this hotel, lovely views and all the staff were polite and helpful and our Saga rep Carolyn was exceptionally good, she was a perfect Rep. This holiday was an add on from the Safari at the Mabula Lodge which was also great, we got to see all the animals and both places were really lovely.

Great views, rooms are nice with much-needed air-conditioning, close to ocean. Staff friendly and pleasant. Ibis Bar staff are SLOW. Order two drinks at a time because you will wait FOREVER. Buffet meals (except breakfast) are mediocre at best, breakfasts were good. Hotel layout is bizarre, be prepared to go up and down stairs a lot.

fridge with lots of water in bottles for drinking, when used the cleaners replaced everything, on a daily basis, also made the beds and cleaned the rooms daily.. There was a lift if required . This swimming pool was a bit warmer than the one at Mabula Game Lodge. Unfortunately the sea was quite rough, it was lifeguarded and there were 2 flags to show you where to swim according to the strong current at times. It was nice and warm, we enjoyed a couple of fun swims. Carolyne took us on a lovely walk so we got the hang of the area. Carolyne was a very good rep, so much better than the Mabula one. Our holiday came to an end and we got the mini bus back to Durban airport to Johannesburg, we handed our baggage in and didn't see it again until we collected from Heathrow which was great. It was a very long day with the 2 flights but all went well and we landed at Heathrow at 04.45 which was 15 minutes early. Nice to be met by Saga drivers to drive us all home to different areas of the country.…

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The rooms were exceptionally neat and clean, with lovely views . The hotel has great amenities with easy access to the beach. Blue Marlin is centrally situated , close to the town of Scottburgh .

The staff is super friendly. Rooms are very clean and well kept. The overall service is top notch. Not to mention the beautiful view of the ocean you get even from the rooms. Truly enjoyed my stay here, wish l could have stayed for longer. Truly recommend booking at the Blue Marlin you certainly won't regret it.

Just one more negative review for you guys! They kicked me out of hotel twice! First when i asked for wi fi password was too much too ask, the manager was the rudest ever, probably rasist as well ask me to leave for internet cafe across the road. I m a guest who comes every single day to restaurant with family. I have one special child who loves pool pizza n food is great there n i like to order drinks etc desserts go to spa also. They asked me to leave second time And! Do not ever come back co few guest complined abt my son??? Is that right? So guest had tiny vacation complained n left n we not allowed there anymore. It was really convenient to come 3 km from my house. I always left good tips n ordered a lots thats what i get in return. Special I will make sure this story will b for al to know. The ones who complained karma will aslo hit u very hard u have no idea what to b mom of special child i have three. But i wont come ever again there even by myself n tell how u hate kids there. …

Beautiful setting for lunch by the pool.. The view across Scottburgh beach is gorgeous. Throughly enjoyed the best margarita cocktails I’ve tasted on the south coast! Filled to the brim and shaken to perfection!
