Easily accessible, secure parking and direct access to the hotel reception area. An efficient check in/out service, Exec room was clean and comfortable with usual extra's, breakfast was more than sufficient.
This hotel is conveniently located in Richard's Bay. The rooms and furnishings are modern with a TV, desk, chairs and aircon. There's tea and coffee and a kettle for boiling water. The bed was comfortable, with crisp white sheets. The bathroom had shower with modern taps. However, my room had cracked tiles, and a bit of rust in the bathroom. Furthermore, the rooms need soundproofing as I was kept awake by the sound of a couple having an intimate moment in the next room. In the morning I was woken up by the loud TV/radio playing in the other room. Apart from the above, hotel was well priced and offered value for money. It's a great hotel, if you don't intend to sleep.
Good to see that the standards at all their hotels are the same. Hi Pom’s are clean. Quality of service is good. Breakfasts are excellent. The staff are very helpful. The location in Richards Bay is good, quite central and not too far from the airport and other attractions.
After doing research, this is one of the best hotels to stay in Richards Bay and Empangeni. It is in a nice safe location, not too far from the beach, Pelican Island and Boardwalk Mall. It doesn't look fancy on the outside and leaves you wondering what lies inside. As soon as you enter, you see a very pretty set up. It was a business trip and a colleague and I had separate rooms. Upon showering, my room flooded and upon speaking to my colleague, she said her shower was a proper one and mine was a tub with a shower head- I just wondered why was this old fashioned type of shower still being used and why some rooms had a full on shower stall. Upon complaining to management about my flooded room, I was moved to the executive floor- 3rd floor and I was set up in a very nice room and offered dessert to make up for the inconvenience. I can't recall her name, but she took me upstairs immediately and called for assistance to have my bag moved. She was quick and efficient and made up immensely for what had happened. The 3rd floor rooms are certainly more pricey- I could see the difference clearly, so, if you ever stay at this hotel and you can afford that room- it's definitely worth it!…
We stayed a couple of nights and the hotel was lovely. At first, we were not sure of the area around the hotel but soon found our bearings. We visited Pelican Island on our second day and had the beach almost to ourselves. The room was great, very large, spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. A powerful hairdryer and the best shower I've had in any hotel room. The hotel was clean and modern, with a bar, restaurant, small pool area and a spa. We ate in the hotel on the first evening and the food was good, although my chicken was slightly dry. The food was very reasonably priced. The staff were all helpful and I booked in for a massage during my stay, which was much needed after a long flight from the UK. I would definitely stay again.
