What a nice place to be, I visited this place with my family it's clean, staff are very friendly, the receptionist really knows how to take care of their guests, all the staff are trained well when it's comes to customer satisfaction. Rooms are nice and clean and big, food was good and nice will definitely go back soon for easter holidays.

We stayed at this establishment for 6 days. On arrival we had problems convincing the management that we had paid upfront. It was eventually sorted but conveyed to us by one of the kitchen staff? The beds are comfortable. The shower was dubious and the floor became very wet.

The breakfast was reasonable and staff friendly. However there was never enough cutlery. The front gate was not open to us on occasion and there was a sign saying we should not hoot. We had to phone eventually to be let in?

The room was not cleaned sometimes and one day we didn't get clean towels.
The electricity went off, not for load-shedding purposes and candles were provided.
Another guest complained and the electricity was restored.

The atmosphere is very relaxed......very. You could hear loud guests and a couple of very loud bangs that sounded like someone had driven into something.

I don't think I will go back.

I read a few of the reviews prior to booking the accomodation and I thought I will still try the place out as it was recommended to me.

I believe a "forum" like this is to help customers and owners with their business and booking experience respectively. This is where the frustration comes in with YES PLEASE.

Someone reviewed that when they arrived nobody knew about their booking and they still needed to be convinced. To my horror this happened with my colleagues, management had no idea about them staying for the night. How is this possible? This is not the first complaint about this!!!! Why not fix the issue.

My colleagues stated that the rooms were below par and shower doors were missing and bed linen having holes all over. Breakfast was terrible and overall one nightmare experience.

Folks! Fix your mistakes.

Clients....don't bother until someone else confirms that this place has been sorted....but do you want to be that person that tries???

Seriously not worth the effort!!!!

Yes Please BnB and Yes Please Comfort Lodge is a fantastic and beautiful place to stay at. They have excellent customer service. Food is splendid and the room is extremely clean. I specifically love the showers. I would recommend this property to anyone travelling on leisure or business. Thank you Yes Please for your hospitality.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. While rooms are clean, that is the only thing they have. First night: impossible to sleep, noise until after midnight of people working by the kitchen (many rooms are just next to it). The way this place is handled is a joke. While ladies there are nice, they are not committed to service, they are gossiping and doing their own thing.
Last night: my room with doors wide open and nobody inside cleaning or anything. Fortunately, I never left any valuables in there. Many more things can be said, but not one good one.

I visited some colleagues at the university in Pietermaritzburg, and they recommended this B&B. I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and just right for the price. The B&B is within easy walking distance of UKZN and close to shops and the mall but in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Will definitely stay here again!

Like a previous reviewer I had difficulty with the online booking agency (Agoda, in this case). The B&B had not received the booking from Agoda, which I understand was the fault of Agoda and not Yes Please. They were very accommodating and got everything sorted. However, in the future I would book directly with the B&B.

Three Comrades runners booked two rooms via Bookings.com on 26 October 2013. We arrived at the Yes Please Guest House today but was told by the establishment that Bookings.com did not inform them that we made a booking for two rooms. We find this story very hard to believe as we paid for the two rooms in full when we made the booking and received confirmation. As the area is fully booked due to the marathon tomorrow we have to cram three adults into one room. Really very bad service - we hope that despite the prospect of not having a good night's rest tonight we can still run the marathon a good marathon tomorrow.

Being a single person, I so often have to pay a "penalty" for staying in a double room. I welcomed the fact that here at last was a single room. Yes, it was small, but that is what I asked for. The curtains could do with a good wash, but the bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. Coffee in the room was Ricoffee (chocory & coffee mix - not my favourite) but coffee at breakfast was real coffee. Breakfast was basic, but tasty and more than enough. Conversation with other guests at breakfast - we were asked to share tables - was stimulating once we got going. This is budget accommodation in what was a lovely old house in a good neighbourhood with helpful staff.

I live in Pietermaritzburg. I thought that Yes Please could offer an good and reliable service. What a mistake! My family from overseas (a single person, another single person and a couple) spent 5 days in total (2 nights on 24 and 25 December, 2 nights on 28 and 29 December and then 1 night on 2 January in the Yes Please B&B. Until the end the staff was confused. 4 people in 3 groups coming 3 times: that was too much for them to handle. They went from one mistake to the other. In addition breakfast was served late despite my brother insisting on the time. One night some people put loud music until 4 pm. The guy at the reception was unperturbed. My relatives did not sleep one minute. My advice to the public: never ever try Yes Please. You would regret it. I felt ashamed to have sent my relatives to Yes Please.
