I have stayed with my family for 3 nights in the stand alone cottage. Words can't express enough the excellence of the service and welcome we received for the whole duration of our stay. The cottage is very spacious with all the comfort what you could ask for. 2 separate ensuite bedrooms with aircon, a large living and dining room with a fully equipped kitchen. We had our very own private garden at the back of the cottage and BBQ. Viv could not be more helpful with our booking and all our special requests. She was and absolute darling during our whole stay and even offered to take us one evening to the Hotel across for their evening entertainment. The owners Tracey and Alec are both a living, walking knowledge base. Their knowledge about all theu visit. You can just book it with Viv and she makes sure you receive the best places always. They even packed us a small picnic breakfast for our long drive.
I can not recommend their B&B enough.
The only disappointment was when we realised that we need to leave.

The guesthouse is close to the beautiful Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game reserve (20 mins drive). The room was spacious and comfortable. But the real plus were Tracey and Alex, the owners. Suppers cooked by Tracey are the best and the time spent chatting with them was worth the entire stay! They are an amazing hosting couple!

It could’ve been a pleasant stay if the roof wasn’t infested with cockroaches, which fell on you while you tried to sleep. The owner denied the problem. The springs on the bed were finished. No water to shower if the property is fully occupied. Yay for the aircon!

Hi Rowena It is such a pity you did not bring this to our attention on the first day of your three day stay. We had no idea of the severity of the problem until you brought it to our attention as you were booking out. We found the source of the infestation and have dealt with it. As for the water problem. Hluhluwe is a small town in a dry rural part of the country and has a very intermittent water supply. This is entirely out of our control. We do have tanks but when we are full the tanks sometimes run out especially when we have early risers who want to shower before we have had a chance to fill the water tanks from our borehole. We do apologise that you did not have water to shower when you wanted to.

What an awesome long weekend. Thanks to Tracey. Alec and Viv for going the extra mile. Msinsi cottage was clean and very well equipped. Stunning garden, abundant birdlife. Breakfast was amazing. We highly recommend this venue. Very central for all surrounding game reserves. Mark and Lyn

A super place to stay. Very convenient for shops, game reserve and cheetah sanctuary. It was clean and tidy and more than adequate for our needs. Breakfast was superb and Vivienne was a fabulous host. We will stay again.

We booked a double room here but on arrival (in the off-season) were upgraded to a self-catering apartment which was perfect for us and very private. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool and a well-equipped kitchen area.
Our host Vivien was super-friendly and a delight to chat to.
Breakfast can be provided on request and turned out to be the full monty for only 50 Rand each. What a bargain! The mushrooms were fab :)
I'd definitely stay here again.

The cottage is cute. The furniture is quit dated but everything you need is there. Comfortable stay. Nothing to do in the neighbourhood but is closeby the national park. The staff was very kind. Wifi was bad, only reception outside the cottage. Its okay for a 1-2 night stay if you go to the park.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Fever Tree Guest House. Our cottage is quite popular to local and international guests alike, as we are close to the Game Reserves, even though there is not much to see in our rural little village. We hope you visit again.

We enjoyed a lot our stay at the Fever Tree Guest House. We were warmly welcomed and given tips of where to go to shop or dinner and how to organize our visit to the park. The House was very well equipped with everything we needed, even more than that. Large rooms, two bathrooms, all was confortable. I would definitely recommend staying at the Fever Tree.

The property is very cosy. Feels like home. The owner paid much attention to details, incl. fitting, decorations, gardening. It really feels like home. Very relaxed. Breakfast was done by Vivienne who is a such a nice person and great to talk to. I would recommend this place to people visiting Hluhluwe or those looking for an escape from the city.
