This is a beautiful haven that allows you to get lost in nature. We stayed in the secrets of the forest suite 8. It was extremely private and peaceful. There is a little bit of a walk to the main building but it’s worth it. Choose another room if you’re unable to do the walk.

The bathroom is beautiful. Soaking in the tub and watching the zebra walk by is magical.

Our service was definitely 5 star from beginning to end. Extremely thoughtful and caring staff. Being a family owned lodge makes this a more personal experience. Susan guided us through the booking and was always quick with her responses. She managed to organise a photographer for us for a small maternity shoot and she is also an excellent reflexologist. I definitely enjoyed having my massage in the comfort of my own room.

Sne is such a graceful host. She always saw to our needs and really cared for us during our stay. She also prepared our meat separately and catered halaal on request.

The lodge could do with a few luxurious touches. The room definitely needs a heater, gowns and slippers should be available, a cover should be placed over the jacuzzi to avoid leaves falling.

Imfolozi park is a 40 minute drive away. Book a game drive early to allow you to join a group so you don’t have to pay for the entire vehicle. Alternatively, you can do a self drive which is also lovely.

All in all, a 3 star lodge with 5 star service. We highly appreciate all that was done to make our weekend simply splendid.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased to hear how you enjoyed your stay, and that Susan and Sne were helpful and that you found the service 5 star! We do try our very best. Thank you for the suggestion that gowns and slippers would add a touch of extra luxury. We have had this in mind and we would like to follow through on your suggestion. To cover the jacuzzi has been a challenge that we hope to resolve as our other little "guests" have an uncanny way of interfering with anything unusual. We had to invent a clever way to prevent them from opening the Jacuzzi taps and the cover is next on our list! Thank you once again for your review and suggestions. We do hope you will visit again. !

We just got back from Leopard walk lodge. I love this place.

The Lodge is, serene, clean, private and an lots of wild life. we stayed at the secrets of the forest Suite A. The Room was beautiful with the glass view. the fact that there is no T.V in the room makes staying at nature more real. each cottage is private and far from the next. there is a nature trail for anyone that wants to walk around. the Buffet dinner was good and breakfast was your usual English breakfast. If you have a car, take note that there is a few kms of sandy road getting into the lodge however it is not bad and easy for a car to get in and out. it is close to Hluhluwe game reserve, the reptile park and Isimangaliso wetlands park, the false bay Gate. You are also allowed to bring your own snacks and some drinks for your room as they have a bar fridge.

The hospitality, all i can say is WOW, i have to first start with, Sne, amazing at what she does. She took care of all our requirements, made us feel welcome and did this all with a smile on her face. The rest of the staff were just as friendly. The owner, made time to chat and share insights into the lodge and the animals. Overall all it was a 5 star service from everyone.
3rd: The external activities, we just did the game drive at Hluhluwe game reserve which Sne booked for us. Our tour was done with UMhluhluwe Safaris. Lee whom was our tour guide, was fantastic and experienced. i would recommend him for all tours, whether private or through the lodge.

Unfortunately due to the COVID19 pandemic, I was unable to attend my booking as South Africa implemented strict lockdowns rules. Since I had booked on the same day the lockdown was announced, the lady assured me I would get my refund. I waited the 28 days as requested, and then waited two more weeks as requested by, I assume, the owner. After I waited this length, I have just been ignored by the owners and am now in the process of filing a claim with the Small Claims Court. Still have not been given the decency of a response.

Wonderful experience, rooms are clean, airconditioned, wildlife at your doorstep, first time petting a zebra seemed very tamed. Staff are very welcoming and hospitality is excellent. If you're looking for a true African experience i definitely recommend you give them a try. A long with delicious foods there's a pool area and heart warming bonfire area for those who want to sit around a fire and relax.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and the wildlife. Our staff do their very best to keep everything clean and every guest is special to us all. our meals are carefully planned and only fresh produce is used. The pool is especially lovely now in the warm weather and being elevated also often enables one to watch wildlife walk by below. Thanks once more for your review, we hope you will visit soon again.

My stay at Leopard Walk Lodge was truly unforgettable and I would highly recommend the place! It’s a 5 stars on all dimensions: accommodation is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and of very good taste; the service is divine – the staff member is soooo friendly, the food is excellent and refined. But what really makes Leopard Walk Lodge so special is the game reserve around it. The owners are passionate about wildlife and have done amazing conservation work keeping indigenous fauna and flora alive on their land. You will be delighted by the sight of mammals, birds and other animals. My absolute favourite was the presence of a wide variety of frogs around the water points located in the properties. It was magical to hear them sing together at night – a real concerto by professional musicians! 😊
A big thank you to Janet and her husband, who built this magical place and share their passion of wildlife with their guests with so much generosity!

It's just a scam! This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Let's start with the terrible road, if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle there is a chance you won't be able to get there.. We paid 8K for a dirty room, a filthy jacuzzi that needs to be constantly cleaned and filled by yourself, and no electricity for at least an hour every day!!!!!! This means no internet no jacuzzi etc The meals are a cheap buffet, they promised us there was a restaurant and they lied to us. We were served cold, uncooked lunches. There are no people at the reception so if you want to get something… good luck. The first morning they took our towels and did not bring new ones, we have to wait two hours until we found someone to bring them to us. The attractions on their site? a lie. They are all an hour+ away, there is nothing inside this place! And the saddest thing is that the owner of the place is disrespectful. I do not recommend anyone to go there.

Good day, thank you for your valued feedback. A very disappointing review as none of the issues you speak about were mentioned to any of the staff including management during your stay. The road to Leopard Walk is accessible for all vehicles (You may have taken the much earlier offramp on the N2 which Google recommends but is not shorter). Unfortunately, load shedding is part of South Africa and does occur 1 hour every day at the time of writing. Activities advertised are offsite activities as can be seen on our website, "Local activities". Zulu Croc (one of the activities, is 10 minutes away). If you would have preferred cooked lunch, that could have very easily been arranged. Housekeeping do room cleaning at 10am every day and provide the room with fresh towels, apologies for the delay in providing fresh towels. It's disappointing to see that the flower decorations for the bed have been thrown on the floor to make the images seem worse than they are. The images of the jacuzzi and bath, unfortunately appear to have been taken on day of checkout as opposed to arrival, as housekeeping reported that you did not want your room cleaned (they would have cleaned the jacuzzi too). The Ottoman Box was not damaged prior to your arrival, this was confirmed by housekeeping. Any damaged items are reported by the housekeeping staff.

A big thank you to Rob and his staff at Leopard Walk Lodge for an awesome stay. We were made to feel so welcome by all of you and your staff who are so polite and helpful. The rooms are beautifully done out and well equipped, very comfortable and welcoming. Love the way the rooms are built into the enjoinment. Your dining room is absolutely amazing and the food was really great and there was always a friendly face to greet us when we came to a meal. The swimming pool area is very relaxing and peaceful and we enjoyed sundowners around the pool.

Thank you for your feedback and lovely review. Together with our Staff, we all do our very best to ensure that visitors and guests enjoy their stay. We are pleased you found your rooms, comfortable and well-equipped. It took careful planning to ensure that the setting was chosen in a way that did not impact the fragile forest and its many secrets and biodiversity. The dining and lounge area has a lovely ambiance and is known as Moonrise Deck due to the amazing views of the moon rising especially at full moon! Careful consideration was given to the elevated swimming pool that also captures the peace of the forest looking through the tree tops to the views often of animals passing by below. Thank you again for your lovely review - we do hope you will visit our little piece of Eden again.

We had a wonderful stay at Leopard Walk Lodge. The service was exceptional, the food delicious, and the rooms beautifully kept. It was wonderful to be out in nature, and to be given the flexibility to come and go. We thoroughly enjoyed our bush walk and really value their effort to conserve and protect some of our endangered species, especially the drey and red duikers.

Leopard Walk Lodge was just exceptional! We spend our honeymoon there and they welcomed us with open arms. The rooms are stunning, and the food was amazing.
The host was so friendly, and he even booked our activities for us, i mean WOW!
I loved the zebras that joined us for dinner, aswell as looking out into the wildlife and seeing animals walking around. Leopard walk lodge is worth every cent. Thank you for making every moment magical. Thank you to the chef that prepared a home cooked meal every night and thank you for your smile and kindness.

Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed your Honeymoon! Its always a delight for us to welcome those who are celebrating their marriage and we are pleased that your time spent with us was a special and magical experience. As we are close to so many activities it does add an extra touch of romance for all who experience the diversity of our region. Back home at Leopard Walk the wildlife are relaxed and often even friendly. The zebra especially seem to enjoy visiting the guests at the dining deck where they peek upwards and greet the visitors by nodding their heads up and down, which is the way a zebra acknowledges the arrival of its own species. At the moment one often sees a new baby wildebeest grazing with them as they watch over her together with her mother. The chefs do their very best and they like to provide meals made from fresh locally supplied produce. We are pleased to share the magic of our Reserve and lodge and look forward to you visiting again. Thank you for the lovely review!
