4 out of 5 because I had a 1/4 mutton bunny and the wife had samp and mutton. Both were great and had good meat portions. The prices are keen. We also took one other dish as a takeaway. Service was sharp. Lots of Bluff people buying curry and rice, and bunny Chow takeaways. Clearly a hidden gem on the Bluff overlooking Jacobs.

It’s a place to go to if you want to experience where local Indian folk go to eat and socialize. Even though the menu lacks the list of exotic Indian mainland curry dishes found at the more expensive restaurants, this is where the famous Durban style curry can be enjoyed in affordable and generous portions. Just don’t expect Indian themed decor! This is a basic hotel frequented mainly by locals.

If you are in the South of Durban and in the mood for a good bunny chow, then Wentworth Hotel is the place to grab one and maybe a cold beer while on it. Parking is the only issue I encountered and as for the rooms I have no idea.

We booked for a group at the Wentworth Hotel on a recent trip.
When making the booking, the reservationist failed to let us know that the bathrooms are not en suite, but rather multi-gendered shared. Was really unpleasant to have to witness a man taking off his used condom while brushing my teeth the next morning.

Finally get to put a review on this hidden gem, that people might not know about that are looking for one of the best Mutton Bunny's.
I am constantly on the look out for the best bunny and I was introduced to this place by my in-laws. Well, well, this place makes an absolutely mouth watering bunny.
Sitting is better. The quality of the meat is just top glass, its cooked to perfection every time, there is more that enough gravy to soak the bunny and its always full with meat. The heat is always on point as well. They cannot disappoint, please go give them a try you will not regret it. CASH ONLY PLACE..

Today(22 Nov 2019) I bought 3 mutton bunnies from this place. The bread seemed like it was a year old as it was very hard and stiff. I called and left my details for the manager to call back. I called back after 3 hours and to date I have had no response from the hotel to apologize for the bread being hard.
Note: the lady who answered the initial call seemed to know that the bread was at fault straight away.
I would definitely not be going back to buy food there as I feel the management has a dont care attitude towards their customers who ultimately pay their salaries.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

Took family of 4 for lunch. Setting average and bunny chow above average. Meat not as tender with some gristle. Not lived up to reputation after hearing so many good word of mouth ratings. Cash only and parking very limited.

Been here recently, quite dingy place to eat very unprofessional, cleaniless and appearance definitely not the order of the day. Has a very limited menu just the basics. I have heard so many people rave about this place that despite the appearance i decided to give it a bash. Ordered mutton bunnies, mutton curry with roti's separate and trotters was the special for the day. The curry was nice but definitely had better and felt the reviews i heard were way over rated, but thats just my opinion.

We didn't stay over but we did visit the restaurant and what a pleasant suprise...
Hearty and delicious meals at a reasonable price I will recommend Wentworth hotel anyday....
They have a hair and beauty spa on the premises which is still fairly new . Had gel nails done. Neat and beautiful work and really cheap as well. So this is my new go to place for food and nails.
Hope this helps. Enjoy 👍
