Stayed for a week over Christmas and were looked after very well by Lilian and her staff. The guesthouse covers three floors climbing up the side of a Morningside hill, with all the rooms nestled within the palms, wooden stairs and decks of a Thai-themed home. Breakfast by the pool was lovely - cereal, fresh fruit and warm cakes supplemented by your choice of English-style cooked breakfast. Our room was large and airy with a very comfortable king-size bed. Our only issues were some problems with the electrics, which perhaps need a bit of an upgrade, but Lilian soon had it sorted. Lilian is a wonderful host and staff are friendly. Stunning garden and peaceful atmosphere. I did not stay at the house long, but felt right at home. Will be back and will recommend to my friends. There is a Coffee bar with the meanest coffee...Yum. Private parking and security watch man on duty.

"My Thai" has a lovely setting with an eastern theme and lush garden with two plunge pools, so you don't get the feeling you in the middle of a busy city. Accomodation was good and comfortable and breakfast was also included. Lillian is a gracious hostess who goes out of her way to accomodate everyone and their requests. Location is also convenient wrt Florida Road, although a little far from any good beaches wrt walking distance. We enjoyed our stay at My Thai, Durban was however too overcrowded at this tgime and there were many incidences of tourists being robbed and their cars being broken into, would not recommend this time of year if you dont like crowds and a dirty town full of litter.
