Required a weekend venue to stay for 11 people - what a wonderful place to stay with small children and family!
Would recommend if you need somewhere to lay your head down and also chillax in the evenings!

We spent the weekend at Hadeda House - all 12 of us. What friendly people, who made us feel so at home. We forgot to bring towels... no problem! (And no extra charge) We wanted to have a large family braai... no problem. They provided a larger one for us to use. Really good service, comfy rooms, clean linen... seriously worth your while to utilise Dave and Julie-Anne. Thanks for making a wonderful weekend even better.

I stayed there with my boyfriend for 5 nights, we were automatically upgraded to a double room because they had one free, Dave and his wife are very friendly, they even gave us lifts on multiple occasions as we had no car and wasn’t sure where things were. There are lots of places to chill out, outside & inside eating area - we had a fab time and would really recommend any traveller to stay here. Great value for money

We stayed one night in Hadeda House and enjoyed our stay very much! The house is comfortable and really cozy with a pool and amazing garden/patio. House is on a safe location not too far from city. Hadeda house has good facilities and fully equipped kitchen. The owners are lovely and want to make the guests stay comfortable, they helped us a lot and gave great tips for our journey. We really enjoyed our time in Hadeda House and would recommend the place to anyone!

When first seeing our room I was immediately impressed - the price we paid was a real bargain, but I wasn't expecting to have so much space. Our room even had a small bathroom attached and a bar fridge if we needed to store anything. The linen was beautiful, bed comfortable and ample cupboard space, too! Dave was a wonderfully friendly host who made us feel welcome without invading our privacy. Unfortunately it was too cold for a swim but the pool area was lovely with a seating area right next to it.
Will definitely come back again for our next travels through Durban!

My partner and I found this newly opened backpackers very friendly. Dave and his wife are very helpful and happy to advice you on where to go and what to see in Durban. The kitchen could do with fixing up and being more vigorously cleaned, and some new sheets and bedding would really make this place more comfortable. However, the communal area by the pool is a really nice place to sit and have a drink in the evening. There are shops around 15-20mins walk away, and you can walk into central Durban (but it is not the most pleasant of walks and will probably take around an hour). The price is reasonable and everyone is friendly.
