Highly recommended.
A beautiful, peaceful and luxurious hotel. This boutique hotel only has 12 rooms, so you'll be away from the crowds. Covid protocols excellent, good wifi, stunning shower, extremely comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, it made me sad to leave as they make you feel like 'part of the family.' While my business trip did not involve a conference, I did note that this hotel has excellent facilities as they were setting up for an event. There's also good indoor / outdoor flow to enjoy beautiful views, good weather, and of course fresh air if you don't want to be too close to other people in the common areas.

There are many places that one can pick in a very touristy area. If you want a simple modern quiet bedroom (ask for one at the back) with a great bed, fantastic linen and also a very good on site restaurant that's easy to get to from the airport or the ring road and off street parking this is the place for you.

The building is modern and impressive and overlooks the sea in the distance. Their website pictures do not lie. I arrived with a really bad stomach upset and having a bath as well as a shower was most appreciated. The inevitable happened in the night and I had to locate the night manager and request an entire change of bedding......not a pleasant thing to occur. However he was quick and efficient and I was soon back in bed, still feeling like sh'ite but with a duvet to comfort me. And what great bed linen.......

The fact that a place with so few rooms had an onsite restaurant good enough to dine out at was impressive. I was only sorry that as I felt so poorly I could not try more of the food as others seem to be having a feast.

In a nutshell I was most impressed with the place and the value it offered.

This boutique hotel is remarkable but so is the unparalleled service and exceptional hospitality. When you have this winning combination, it lends itself to quality and care that the staff have for their customers.

It all started when I unsuccessfully tried to book a weekend stay for my parents from Australia, and none of the other five star hotels bothered to respond to me. A friend of mine suggested I might look towards boutique or private stays, and so a quick google revealed this absolute gem.

I left a Facebook message which was promptly responded to by Catherine who reached out immediately to the hotel to help arrange my parents stay on my behalf. She was my point of contact and I do not have words for how professional and warm she was. After being away from South Africa for nearly a decade, she represented the very best of South African culture and hospitality. Nothing was too hard for her to help me with, when I couldn't reach them she assisted, she thought about ideas and made suggestions to make my parents stay incredible.

From there on the front desk was amazing, suggesting food and menu options (for my fussy parents), offering ideas about what could make their stay special and genuinely within a day, everything was organised and sorted. They even mocked up a voucher for me!

When I called my parents on their last day, they simply didn't want to leave. They commented not only on the personalised experience and service, but genuinely expressed their sadness at having to leave. They wished their stay would have been endless.

The facilities were par excellence, every single meal was delivered and plated to an exceptional quality, the spa treatment was relaxing and the property is aptly named as it does offer endless views.

Every single evening the property made my parents time special - it was to celebrate my mums birthday and her retirement from teaching at a public school. They went out of their way with generosity, kindness and personalisation. My mum loved that they found time to sing her a happy birthday song!

I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for world class service combined with an exceptional property. I am incredibly well travelled and from what I have experienced and from my parents utter joy, this property ranks up with the very best of properties.

Well done to the entire team and when I visit South Africa, you can be guaranteed a visit from me.

If you want a nice quiet hotel in durban, this one is definitely for you. It's a classy modern building with a great view, clean rooms and lovely staff. With just 12 rooms, the hotel has a gym, pool and restaurant which makes delicious food. I had the ribs for dinner and would highly recommend it. This is definitely one place I would be visiting again.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, after the mayhem of Christmas - being able to relax at this hotel was really needed. The staff we friendly and helpful. The room was clean and each day I got fresh linen, towels and other supplies. The location is also a bonus and the view of the ocean is brilliant. Its a really tranquil so perfect for relaxation. Apart from breakfast I did not eat in the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast was well prepared with good quality produce - my only issue was the limited options for vegetarians - especially if you are also trying to avoid refined sugar. Also, one would expect a hotel of this calibre and in this price range to provide diiferent coffee drinks at no extra cost (only filter coffee was included in the breakfast package.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Had a room with sea and pool view. On sunny days it was beautiful. Room was cleaned everyday on request. The breakfast choice was quite broad, made to order as room service or taken in outside on patio or in restaurant. Had dinner twice and while a bit pricey the menu, the food is of restaurant quality and isn’t a typical boring hotel menu.

Fabulous stay, strongly recommended. Except if you want to be on the beachfront or in the bustle of Umhlanga Rocks. Situated on the ridge overlooking the sea, btw Umhlanga and Durban North, 5-10 min drive to the beach, 10 min to Umhlanga Rocks.

Staff are fabulous and kept us well fed and suppmied with generous cocktails in the pool. We were the only guests both evenings in the pool area. Saw vervet monkeys from the balcony. Breakfast was also generous and delicious.

Rooms are quiet, block out the light, and beds comfy.

They haven't refunded me my money after a month of waiting. If they can't refund a client their money. Imagine the service and the quality of the place? Don't even trust their reviews anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place at all!

Response from endless horizons, General Manager at Endless Horizons Boutique Hotel
Responded 09 Jun 2022
Dear Mr Masoka, Thank you for review. As stated before, directly to you, our apologies for the short delay in paying your refund. Which has been paid (at the same time you wrote this review). We have been in full contact with you during this process and at no time denied or ignored your request. It was a very unfortunate situation, with the extreme floods in Durban, that we all found ourselves in, and it greatly impacted our business and ability to operate. Our team members were also dealing with flooding in their homes as well as work challenges. You were one of many cancellations over this period and therefore it took a little longer to process than normal. The excellent reviews about are property are a true reflection of the time, effort and work we put into ensuring our guests are satisfied and happy – we are sorry you took a natural and unfortunate event as a mark against us. Kind regards, The Endless Horizons Team

We had a brief stay at Endless Horizons at the start of a family holiday. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. We had made other arrangements for dinner, so didn't try the restaurant. I booked a massage for my husband through the hotel, which he said was really good. The airport is only 20 minutes away. All in all, a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
