This luxurious 4 star (SATGC) graded accommodation in Umhlanga. AA Travel Awards finalist for 2 years. 7 rooms en-suite. All rooms have air conditioning, fans, coffee/tea making facilities, mini bar, WiFi, Flat screen DStv. Guests have the use of a gleaming swimming pool in the private courtyard, a honesty bar adjoining the lounge and deck overlooking the pool, and a braai (barbeque)for their own use. We have a laundry service and a daily delivered newspaper. Continental and English breakfast is served. Sea views from the deck/barbeque/lounge area upstairs.

This place is excellent and Mel is great. The ,location is excellent and near everything. The rooms are neat and the breakfast service is excellent. The pool is great. They have a bar called honesty bar and you service yourself and pay when you depart

Booked a suite was not disappointed, room was great, clean and comfortable, breakfast is freshly made and you can taste the difference between this and larger hotel type places, it was the 5th accommodation I had tried travelling SA and the best, key fob for entry into premises is great felt safe and close enough to sea and town would visit again for sure

Perfect location, near the beach and the vibrant heart of the East Coast, special atmosphere around the patio pool, gorgeous internal design with wide spaces and all furnitures, sumptuous breakfast. I do recommend it !!!

We were so disappointed ! The room we were allocated was filthy and had a very tatty unloved feel about it. It was not the room that we had booked which wouldn't have mattered if the standard was the same .We left and as it was late Dec were unable to find alternative accommodation so flew home early end of holiday ruined. I was contacted by the management and they offered to clean the room but trust me it was beyond just a quick clean ! (wish I could upload the photos as they say it all)

Always a pleasure to visit 5 Burnham. Lovely quiet road but only 5 minutes from La Lucia Mall. Staff are charming and helpful. Delicious vegan breakfast prepared for me, every request catered to! Sparkly pool which is just so inviting. Really enjoy staying at this airy, peaceful guest house. Thank you to the lovely staff!

Quick visit to Durban and delighted to stay at the stylish and welcoming Burnham Guesthouse. Staff are charming and polite, the pool bright blue and sparkling. Delicious vegan breakfast provided for me, I had to eat all the avocado that had been organized specially for me! Peaceful at night, two minutes from the La Lucia mall, such a great location. Always a pleasure to stay over!

The service was excellent. Staff and owner made us fee very at home. Helpful in providing information on surrounding area. Venue was close to an abundance of restaurants and beach. Further more it was very easy to get on main roads.The bedrooms were extremely comfortable with all one would need. Plenty of recreational areas outside of bedrooms.It was a business trip but would also recommend for a family trip as well. Not suitable for very young children but perfect for others.
