I booked this accommodation for my friend and her family. The staff were very friendly. The views were lovely. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were enjoyed by my friends. This is a good 3 star hotel on central Durban's golden mile.

My uncle and aunt got us a week at the Durban Spa so the price was right (free). A great location close to everything that the Durban Golden Mile has to offer...Ushaka, Vendors, Beaches with Lifeguards, Restaurants, Bike Rentals, Dive shops, Grocery stores. Security was visible and available and at no time did we feel unsafe. The heated pool, somewhat outdated and in need of lighting and a coat of paint, was still a hit with our 8 and 10 year old. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially the front desk gentleman Morne. The building and rooms themselves will be in need of renovations soon!

A nice clean affordable place to stay right at the beach front. You just walk across the street to the beach. The indoor warm pool is awesome.
Ushaka Marine is within walking distance. There are lots of restaurants on the beach front.

Disappointed with Poor Support and Lack of Market for Shares at Durban Spa, Durban
I've been reflecting on my recent experiences and feel compelled to share my thoughts. It’s frustrating when Durban Spa sales personnel fail to assist a 84 year old lady, who can't visit the resort and also can't affored the annual levy anymore.
On top of that, equally disheartening to see no active market for timeshares at Durban Spa.
It raises concerns about transparency, commitment, and the real value being offered to those who choose to invest into timeshare at Durban Spa.
As there are no market and the lack of Durban Spa to accommodate a person at 84 who holds the timeshare for 40 yeard, I strongly advise that you don't invest in Durban Spa

We stayed at Unit 302, well furnished. I suffer from chronic back pain so comfortable bed os a must for me. They have the most comfortable bed I wanted to take it home. People make the place, staff was extremely helpful. Cleaning staff give excellent service, our unit was serviced by Phakamile. She was friendly and helpful. If you are a happy person in general you will be happy at Durban Spa. Very close to the beach, from our unit we could hear and see the ocean.
We travelled midweek and during off peak so our stay was not over crowded. They are also COVID-19 conscious, they check temperature and sanitize you.
I would highly recommend this resort. Linen was clean and towels were changed on Wednesday.

I used to love durban spa but this time everything has changed the cleaning lady was rude and didn't clean properly and there was no cleaning staff when we tried doing things ourselves. The kettle was not working, mirrors where dirty I had to complain about the dirtiness of the sliding door. The quality of the toilet paper was bad. The bad sheet are not change for 7 days if you want clean ones you must pay so I wonder what was the R15000 for.when it was windy the sliding door made a horrible noise and we had no choice but to leave it open. Not to talk of the cockroaches they are so big and everywher. I don't think I will be coming back with my family ever.

This hotel allows a large group of people to stay together. We spent 7 nights at this hotel and the best advice I can give anyone is that- it was comfortable. It is not a 5 star hotel but if you are a group of friends on a budget then this hotel is convenient. You can walk to the beach and the food places nearby. This hotel offers undercover car parking.

Dreadful, absolutely the worst place I've ever booked, the 4 sleeper units are nothing like what's pictured. The 2 "beds" are sleeper couches which double as the seating in dining area and are literally in the kitchen area. Horrible place in its entirety

Durban Spa needs to up their standards! When we checked in, the tiles were dirty and there were pieces of hair and dust on the furniture and around the apartment. There were baby cockroachs in the kitchen and little insects found on the towels. The couches in the lounge were damp, and there were bugs on it because when I sat on it, I felt itchy. The one couch in the lounge was broken. The unit was very neglected. The microwave and stove were dirty. The bathroom has a shower curtain that's dirty as well. The only good thing about Durban spa is the views and the vibe around the area. The aircons did not work properly and it's very stuffy. I had stayed here previously and it was never this run down. Will not be returning. Very disappointing.
