After a small disagreement at the next door restaurant, Seaboard Hotel and Appartment Guards attacked one of my staff members this evening. All the Hotel's Security Guards joined in...!
Disgusting attitude of supervisor when responsible security guards were confronted.
Stay well away

After speaking to a reservation (Tresor ) and confirming my booking, I waited for the profoma invoice so payment could be made. I then followed up twice a day later and my calls were not returned, on the third try I was informed that the hotel was fully booked. Beyond angry and disgusted with this kind of service and the excuse I was given was that they are busy and have a lot of stuff to do. Advice…. Stay away from this place.

When I booked this hotel, I saw good ratings on both Booking.com and TripAdvisor. The price was very affordable. When I arrived on site, I could not believe what I saw. The hotel is in a crowded space below a big supermarket, the windows looked broken while curtains seemed missing. I got worried about our safety and security and decided to look elsewhere immediately.

Rather spend 200 rand more for something decent.

Mold everywhere. fridge, bathroom, curtains,....
Five minutes after arriving we killed already two cockroaches.
Fridge wasn't working because the cable at the plug where loose (extremely dangerous with children)
The glassware was dirty and smelled like pee.
There was an old used teabag in the bathroom sink.
TV wasn't working.

I could go on, but i actually don't feel like writing anymore.

Just don't go there.

I was impressed with the reception we got, thanks to Charity who was patient with us whilst trying to find suitable rooms for my family. We felt so welcome. Everything in the two classic rooms we booked looked very old i.e. dirty furniture, cracked baths, basins and tiles, dirty windows, falling curtains and cockroaches crawling freely. Management should renovate the whole hotel in the off peak season and fumigate regularly because this is a self catering hotel. We complained and needed a shower curtain and it was hanged promptly. Due to being the tallest building, and from website pictures, the hotel was easy to find. It is next to all amenities we needed. The hotel is reasonably priced.

When you look at it from the internet you go; mmmmhhh...
When you look at it on sight when you reach there you go; whaaaaaat????
When you go inside to check out the rooms you go; ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
I couldn't even sleep.

If you are a human being, please I beg you. Do not book this hotel, unless you have animals that I want to book into a hotel.

That place is worse than a toilet. No no nno... Please look for another hotel.

I booked at Seaboard in July 2014. The place was clean on the sea side. Needs maintenance as most if the things are old. But thanks I enjoyed as it is next t all facilities.

The staff members there are very friendly.
But the service was very bad, when we arrived the bath tab was blocked we called for assistance, they said they were coming we waited until the day we left. The hotel is very dirty, the curtains are very dirty and even the windows are so dirty.

Made the worst mistake by choosing this hotel. It is nothing like what you see in the pictures . Reception was flooding with people complaining before we even checked in .Our window was not closing properly, they promised to fix it and no one showed up we slept with it like that in the cold Durban night. The most disgusting part is they have rats in their rooms. Microwave was not working , the bath tub was dirty , pots were dirty and the blackets, even my dog cant use them .I am never comimg back to this hotel
