Terrible service at Blue Waters Hotel Stayed for almost a week and needed to extend the stay so I went down to reception and was given two amounts (almost double the cost for a night) with a extremely confused receptionist. I requested that I stay in the same room as I have an infant with me and it would be difficult to move all our things just for one night. I went to reception the next morning and was given two different amounts almost double the price from a few hours ago also with another confused receptionist. I eventually checked on booking.com and found a much cheaper rate and booked it and was forced to move rooms. When the porter came to the room and saw the amount of things he refused to help and said we should call reception or the porters number to request someone else. We eventually moved rooms. The service at the restaurant during the week was terrible where the waiter by the name of Sam pinched my daughter's hand while trying to fix the feeding chair. Only during the weekend was their service good. We were initially on the 14th floor and then on the 9th and getting a lift was terribly difficult even though they have got 4 lifts and when we mention it to the guys at reception they tell me it's not possible that the lifts take long. We've had to walk up 14 flights of stairs a few times carrying my infant daughter because after waiting for almost 20 minutes for a lift, using the stairs seemed like a better option. On our last day at the new room after setting up we locked up and left for the day. On our return in the evening the balcony door was left wide open and nothing inside or outside the room was left the same as we left it. When I called the duty managers office several time I had no answer. Eventually the reception answered and said they would call me back after they speak to the duty manager and 45 minutes later after no return call I called to check what was going on and then only I was told that the duty manager is busy with another guest and will be at my room in 10 to 15 minutes. After 20 minutes a very arrogant duty manager by the name of Tirley(something like that) came to our room and stood outside with an absolute crap attitude. We explained what happened and that we have valuables in our room and how can hotel staff just enter our room without permission or without us requesting for any services and we were told that the hotel has a turnover in the evenings where staff come to check if anything is needed or if new towels are needed which sounded very strange to me as I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights already and we had to phone reception and ask for toilet paper and we used the same towels the entire week. When we advised the duty manager that no one had been to our room the entire week he very arrogantly asked us as to what time did we call to ask for toilet paper because the turnover is done from 6 in the evening which to us sounded like absolute crap because no one had been to us asking if we had required anything. He also told us that all 4 star hotels have this service and we should have known this and he went on to say "no offense" but we should've known that we need to have a do no disturb sign on the door at all times if we want staff to stay away from the room which makes no sense if hotels have this "turnover" . The duty manager was absolutely no help and stood in front of me giving me the crappies responses filled with attitude. I am very upset with the services. I own a hotel and the crap that the duty manager used as excuses to cover up for what his staff did is really sad. We did not receive a single apology from him which truly is disgusting. I phoned reception afterwards to enquire as to when will the GM will be at work and was told after 10 which is funny because check out is at 10. Pathetic service! Will not stay here again and will definitely advise others to not stay here!

Booked here for my birthday during the covid lockdown in Jan 2021 I was really impressed with the protocols that were followed to ensure that guest were kept safe , from the entrance to the rooms Rooms are big and airy with a beautiful layout and are exceptionally clean. will only recommend that a-joining rooms should be kept for family booking extra rooms and not for different guest . Breakfast had a variety to choose from Overall experience was beautiful and will recommend this hotel

We stayed at the blue waters hotel in durban for 3 nights booked parking for our Bakkie and trailer. But the normal single cab bakkie did not fit inside the parking as the roof was too low. So we parked the bakkie right in front of the main entrance of the hotel where there was a guard of the hotel. The hotel phoned us 00:00 and told us our bakkie was stolen. We needed to phone the police and the following morning the duty manager was not even aware of the situation. Crime is a issue in this area
