My parents, grandparent and I spent three nights of our Christmas Vacation at the Mesami Hotel in Durban. The hotel was spotless and was very comfortable. It caters for the elderly. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The scenery at night from the hotel was stunning. The rooms are air conditioned. Plenty of parking. There were lots of places to have lunch and dinner close by. The hotel is well lit and safe. Convenient distance to shopping malls, the city, U Shaka Marine world, Suncoast Casino,ICC etc.

The hotel is new and therefore, everything is in very good condition. The rooms are of a decent size and the layout is good. I enjoyed the fact that there was a proper shower and not a bathtub shower as in most hotels. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel does not provide any toiletries other than a bar of soap so come prepared. The location is excellent, very near good restaurants and shopping malls.
The staff were good although it seems as this was a family run hotel and I thought the staff on duty could be better trained at customer service. There were no enquiries as to whether or not I could be assisted with local knowledge of the area etc.

In general I would recommend this hotel. I am sure they are going to continue to improve.

The location in Musgrave is nice & central, making getting around very easy. The rooms are simple but yet tastefully decorated with everything you need to make you comfortable & relaxed. The staff is excellent & catered to all our needs, especially at breakfast catering for our vegetarian option...Thank you.

This hotel is new.. The owner is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are neatly done. Breakfast was awesome and location is perfect. This was our first trip to Durban (nov-2011), we went through a lot of websites and listed down at least 10 hotels / accomodations.. this hotel is way above and beyond the 10 that we saw.. it made our experience memorable especially since it was raining that day and the next day.. only positive things were our stay and the ushaka marine world.. thanks

I had a marvelous stay in Durban at the Mesami Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. The stay was excellent and staff extremely helpful. Rooms were spotless. The reception and lobby were very modern and light and rooms were comfortable and equipped with everything. The free wıfı ınternet access was of great advantage. I was pleasantly surprised with the awesome view from my room of the Moses Mabhida stadium and of the city. I will defiantly be returning!!!

Found it shockingly easy in busy town, very new stylish and very good value. Helpful and near to botanical gdns & mall. Good breakfast & safe off street parking ..would recommend! Unfortunately Durban closes early. Beach area brilliant but deserted.

Mesami Hotel - I really did not know what to expect when I booked as so little was said on the net. What a surprise. The cleanliness really blew my breath away, bedding was clean, towels changed regularly. etc - other hotels in the area should take some tips. The rooms a wee bit small but is clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Break fast was more than adequate. Staff was very friendly. They do have room service and wifi. All shops, shopping malls, restuarants are at a walking distance.
Will definitely book again

Will stay here anytime ! Staff ads another star to this hotel. They are helpful and make you feel welcome. The beds are a bit on the short side for taller people and a nice touch would be a beverage pack in the room. Otherwise.........excellent.
